O3 || Ranking and Audition Process

Ranking System and Audition Process

Ars Goetia works on a ranking system that coincides with the name of the Opera House. In each artistic field, there are 72 people that correspond with each rank from the list of demons within The Lesser Key of Solomon. The first 15 people on the ranking list are generally the leads and understudies for leads in broadway shows and otherwise. The first 15 people in that ranking obtain a special contract with Asmodeus that they are locked into until the ranking lowers significantly or until the terms in the contract are broken or void.

The way this is determined is by an audition in each field which follows as such:

  1. An application is sent through the mail, email, or otherwise through the internet in some form. This is only to ensure your audition time and to set one.
  2. With however many applicants have applied, you will wait outside of the auditorium until your number is called.
  3. When your number is called, you will be asked to perform a solo piece (operatic, broadway, ballet, classical).
  4. You will then be asked to do a duet (if auditioning for a vocal dominated artistic field) with a lead of your choice and sing the duet of your choice listed below in the song list. If it is a same gender duet, you may pick the part you wish to sing.
  5. If you are auditioning for an orchestral position, you will be asked to sight read a standard broadway or classical piece.
  6. If you are auditioning for a position in ballet, you will be asked to do a duet with a lead performer of your choice. The options are listed below in the song list.
  7. You will then be asked a few questions in private about your dreams and a foreseeable career as well as how you conduct yourself in a group setting.

After this process, you will get either an acceptance or declination of your audition. If you are accepted, you are immediately given a rank and a set of steps you need to take in order to transfer entirely to the Opera House.
