\Zion’s POV/

I hummed a happy little tune as I cleaned off a bunch of glasses from our mini bar that our new roomie made for us. I grinned and took a glance off to my left to see Jay having a pleasant conversation with the new friend. She has quite the… zombie look to her and she’s got a bunch of bandages wrapped around her, but she’s a pretty cool Kat. Very good with her hands and makes a lot of things. She builds things from whatever materials she has on hand and she likes to sew things too. All around, a very handy Kat to have.. Well, around. Oh yeah! A name would be helpful, huh? The newbie’s name is Olivia. She’s kind of quiet too, but, hey, anyone that can get Jay to actually talk is cool in my book. Watching him actually smile and have a conversation with someone is certainly a shock to say the least. Well, someone aside from Quarter or the love of his life, Talia. I snickered to myself as I turned my attention back to the glass I was cleaning. That boy fell in love and he fell really hard. It’s actually kind of cute watching him get all flustered whenever he’s asked about Talia or just when we tease him about her and his feelings for her. “Talia~~!! Darling~! What a pleazure it iz for you to join uz~!” I hear Ululani’s voice sound out from far in front of me and I look up to see Ululani giving Talia a very lopsided hug. I sweatdropped. Oh boy… “You zhould go over there to our lovely Zion and get a drink~~ Join in the feztivitiezzz~”

“I do believe that’s enough drinks for you, my dear.” Rue instantly grabs Ululani and drags her away from Talia. “Apologies for her, she gets tipsy a bit too easily.” She gave our pilot friend an apologetic smile.

“It’s quite alright, Rue.” Talia replied with a smile of her own before making her way over to the bar and me. I removed the cloth I was using to clean the glass and waved it at her.

“Why hello there, lovely Miss Talia~! What brings you to our humble cave abode~?” I placed the glass on the counter and leaned over it as she got closer. “Could I interest you in anything to drink?” She just giggled and shook her head.

“No thank you, Zion. I don’t drink.” Now directly in front of me, she sits down and tilts her head. “I was wondering if Jay was around? I was hoping we could hang out today.” I smiled at the happiness in her voice as she talks. Talia, most times, is difficult to read, quite the opposite to our victorian roomie. So, when you can tell how she feels towards someone, it’s quite a treat. When it comes to Jay, she usually has a bit of a more chipper tone to her voice. It’s refreshing to hear~ I nodded.

“He is. He’s talking with our newest roomie.” I nod my head over to where Jay and Olivia. “They’re just over there.” I watched her eyes blink for a moment as she turned her head to look over at them. Now, I thought that she would just walk over there to go and talk to him. But, much to my surprise, she actually just stares at them and I glance over at them, just to see Jay actually laughing at whatever Olivia is saying to him in sign. Quickly returning my gaze to Talia, I see her eye twitch just a tiny bit and something flash in her eyes from behind her goggles. Hmm… I wonder… I gasped, and straightened myself back to a sitting position, when I realized what that something was. Apparently, my gasp was pretty loud cause I earned Talia’s attention in an instant.

“What’s wrong, Zion?” She asked, worriedness laced within her voice. I clasped my hands together, just staring at her.

“You’re jealous of our new friend!” I stated what was on my mind without any hesitation. Which seemed to catch the pilot girl off guard.

“J-Jealous? Why in the world would I be jealous?”

“Why did you just stutter?” She opened her mouth to retaliate but closed it a few seconds later. “Talia, dear. You and I both know very well that Jay does not open up to many people. And the only ones that he has are you and Quarter. We both know that Quarter has her heart set on Dave, so she isn’t much of a problem. Here we have a Kat that you don’t know a thing about, and she’s having a complete conversation with Jay and making him laugh and smile. Now, if you really weren’t jealous, then there wouldn’t be any probl---” I gasped again, realizing something else and started grinning brightly. In a quick motion, I leaned over the counter and got right up in Talia’s face. “You like Jay!” She yelped and backed up a little bit, so that there was space between us again. She sighed and removed her goggles, cleaning them up a bit with a cloth she keeps with her.

“Of course I like Jay. Why wouldn’t I?” She looked up at me. I just kept grinning.

“Oooohhh, dear Talia~ I don’t mean that type of like~” I saw her hand pause from the cleaning as she just kept staring at me. “The type of like I mean is the kind where your heart is always beating fast whenever he’s around. You can’t help but smile when you’re with him and you just want to make him smile and be happy too. You just can’t stand seeing him with anyone else, especially someone you don’t know, in fear that they might take him away from you..” By this point, Talia’s gaze was now looking off to the side and she was fidgeting just a bit. Placing my elbows on the counter and my head on my hands, I just continued grinning and my tail began to sway as well. “That’s the type of like I mean~ Or well… Really, I mean love~” Talia finally returned her gaze to me and was about to say something, but was cut off by someone clearing their throat. The both of us looked to see who it was and, to my surprise, it was our new friend. “Ah! Miss Olivia! How kind of you to join us~!” She just nodded in my direction and looked over at Talia, who had put her goggles back on and was just sort of staring at Olivia. I looked between the two then decided some introduction was necessary. “Olivia, this little goggle wearing dear is Talia, one of Jay and Quarter’s good friends.” She nodded to Talia, who didn’t entirely respond back. “Talia, this little bandaged up, zombie-looking friend is Olivia, our newest roomie.” Olivia bowed her head slightly.

“It’s nice to meet you…” She lifted her head back up and walked toward Talia. Or, well, more like around her. “Now then…” She slightly began to nudge her head against Talia’s back, inching her forward a bit. “...Go be with Jay.” I blinked, slightly shocked. Talia seemed to also be shocked cause she turned her head to look back at Olivia but gave her a small smile then proceeded to walk over to Jay. I watched as the two started conversing as soon as she was right in front of him. I smiled and looked over at Olivia, who was now sitting next to the counter.

“You notice her jealousy?” She nodded as her answer to my question and spoke quietly.

“When I did notice it, I kept glancing at her and saw you two were talking… Jay noticed me glancing over and when he looked over at you two, his eyes landed on Talia and he instantly tensed up and started fidgeting… He pretty much lost entire focus on our conversation… So, I figured he would rather be talking to her than me…” I hummed in response.

“Has he told you that he’s head over heels for her? Or could you tell from how he was acting?” She giggled.

“He’s quite the open book when it comes to his feelings…” I nodded in agreement. “He did mention a girl, that wasn’t anyone here, who always manages to make him smile and pretty much gets all of his love and affection… Didn’t think I’d be meeting her so soon though…”

“Heh… Welcome to our humble abode, Olivia~ You’ll more than likely meet everyone’s special someones veerryyy soon.” She turned to look at me and gave me a small smile.

“Thank you, Zion…” I grinned back at her as we both turned to look at the two conversing off to the side, just to see Jay remove Talia’s goggles and place a kiss on her cheek, causing the little pilot to giggle. I just sighed and placed my head on the counter. “Awww… They’re so cute together…~” I looked over at Olivia once more and mumbled.

“Them two are just like Quarter and Dave… Got feelings for each other but don’t actually do anything to pursue it…” Olivia turned her gaze to me, but kept her head facing the other two.

“Did Talia actually tell you that she holds the same feelings for Jay as he does for her…? Or are you just assuming things…?” I frowned.

“She didn’t out right tell me…” She just frowned ever-so slightly with a look in her eye that pretty much said ‘Seriously?’ I just huffed at her look. “Come on… You spend enough time with someone and it’s hard not to notice some sort of feelings bubbling under the surface.”

“And not everyone will want to notice said feelings…” I just groaned at her response and place my face onto the counter.

“Let me help him get a happy ending..!! Or.. Really, let me help him be happy..” I just heard her sigh in reply but nothing else after. One thing Olivia is gonna learn very soon… Is that I’m stubborn and when it comes to others relationships… I don’t let up.
