drip drip drip...

rain poured down on the busy evening streets of Flurry, forming puddles on the sidewalks which dragons stepped through carrying umbrellas or wearing raincoats. The sun had already set, leaving the street lamps and various stores and houses to light up the night.

"we should get out of this weather, you know I don't like lighting."

two dragons walked beside each other, each holding umbrellas over their heads. The one who had spoken had warm pink scales and wore a yellow dress with a brown belt around her waist. The other had coral blue scales, wearing a white button up suit and black jeans. They both has big tails that resembled the wax of a candle. A flame glowed at the end of their tails, lighting up the night around them.

"yeah. I heard they opened a cafe down the road, do you wanna go check that out? Someone said their coffee pretty bad, but their tea is better then Mochas."

the blue dragon, Kai, spoke, looking down at the pink one, Elizabeth, before looking back at the bustling city. They passed several stores as they walked, one he saw was a pet shop, another a restaurant.

"I doubt that, but I guess we can give it a try."

she nodded her head forward, signaling for the other dragon to lead the way.

"can I get the iced caramel tea with whipped cream on top?"

the pink dragon said, looking from the menu to the sweet looking mudwing that was taking her order. She took a step back to let Kai order, looking around the cafe as she waited. The building was small relative to some of the bigger restaurants, it's hard oak floor creaking when she moved her weight from side to side. There were lots of plants, from vines wrapped around small lamps that hung on the walls, to large bushes that had sprouted wonderfully smelling flowers. A small bell chimed as a group of dragons walked in, their voices lowered as if they were in a library.

"okay, is that all? What is your order name?"

the mudwing asked, printing a receipt for the two dragons. Her scales were a rosey brown, her snout a light tan. Weaved around her horns were flowers of all kinds, complimenting the rose colored apron tied around her waist.

"thank you, and the name is Elizabeth."

elizabeth smiled warmly at the mudwing, standing off to the side until she heard her name called. She took them, and gave the dragon a polite thank you before her and Kai sat down.

"how's your drink?"

elizabeth looked at Kai, taking a few sips from her iced tea. It tasted wonderful, a delightful mix of sweet tea, caramel, and ice, the whipped cream finishing the drink off.

"it's fine as always, the lemon is a bit ripe but that happens all the time."

he squeezed the lemon to mix it with the water and ice inside of the cup, giving him a very organic lemonade taste. Both of the dragons sat close to the window, talking while the bustling city around them moved. Rain swept against the glass, shaking the plants outside of the cafe and drenching the sidewalks. A storm gutter outside the door made a small noise,
