Arkydian's are a secretive bunch, their customs and society is not often shared with outsiders - not even trade partners or war allies could tell you what Arkydia's lifestyles are like. For the most part, their cold planet leads them to live in large 'cities' scattered quite a ways apart. They are very technologically advanced and do not share their findings, inventions and techniques with just anyone. Their society values intellect and cleverness above all else, which admittedly leads to some Arkydians to be quite successful bandits or thieves, able to simply talk you out of your valuables.

VV-N grew up in the Titan District, or as the locals and captiols like to call is the War district. The city is actually made up of a handful of separate towns; by Arkydian standard's it's the 'rural' part of their planet. Most soldiers are from or at the very least train in Titan, with enough open space to test new weapons and fighting techniques; Titan is the pinnacle of the Arkydia's defenses. Even though he spent most of his life here, VV-N is actually from Nova, a large, mountainside city that is also the home of all things science for the Arkydia.

Originally born in the smaller, slightly poorer, part of Nova, at a young age VV-N was drafted into the Arkydian Rouge Operative Program when it was first created. Like a lot of youngsters who got shipped to the R.O. base in Titan, he was told he was picked for having desirable traits that, with training, would be useful to the army but it was mostly a lie. While VV-N did have a certain skill-set that would give him an advantage if he joined the Arkydian army, this new branch was actually a cover for horrible experiments. The R.O. team had developed a new technology - a type of hardware, really - that, when implanted in an Arkydian's drive, re-writes their physical and mental abilities and in theory, was able to create the perfect spy. The technology, of course, was not ready and despite their best efforts ended up corrupting most of the youth in their program - creating, instead, hyper-aggressive and dangerously skilled soldiers. Only a handful of Arkydians survived what is now considered a deadly malfunction and the R.O. is now considered malware.

VV-N barely pulled through after physically ripping the implant out of his drive. This left VV-N heavily damaged for some time, he did not return to Nova after the ordeal and being inexperienced in the type of surgery required to modify his core, ended up losing a lot of his mental stability and considered himself too dangerous to live among the normal society. The remaining group from the failed program was dispersed but the one's with the most damage were forced to stay in Titan and be 'cared for' (re: jailed).
