August Event Prompt

The room slowly dimming until the crowd was left in complete darkness, Zoren, for once, was truly a member of the audience this time. His dragon Mytos being recruited by an interesting looking shade and a demon sporting rather interesting tattoos that shifted and moved. Finding out who gave them such things might be worth a pretty penny as far as information went, but Mytos had insisted that they were there for a real job, nooo shenanigans or 'business'. While there had been much sighing involved, the thieving magician had given his word in the end. Honor among thieves and all that.

Shoving another handful of popcorn in his mouth, the rabbit nearly jumped out of his socks when someone grabbed his shoulder as soon as the play started up. "Your ears are too big mister..!" Looking back, it was just a small hand attached to an equally small child, making him breathe a sigh of relief for being so jumpy. "Sorry about that, how about this?" reaching all the way up, he put a hand on his ears and pushed them down until poor, magic, no more ears. It at least earned him a smile at the 'magic' trick, both going back to listening to the introduction up on stage. Not many directors put themselves in their own plays, so Zoren was surprised to see the tattooed demon himself coming out to play the main character. And there, his ever loyal, trustworthy talking steed was there to guide their knight on the path of justice. It was a fairly entertaining comedy with the pair trying to save the captured princess together. Mytos seeming to forget his lines at one point, but the demon's skill in improvising was spot on, cracking a joke as a cover for hinting at what the next lines should be. Easily making Zoren laugh along as well, it was rather nice being able to watch the performance.
