What do
you do when you can't think of how to start a story about a certain
Amoux? Saint was certainly worth writing about, at least in his
opinion, beautiful markings, paradise mutation, a real lady's man.
What wasn't there to love? So why was he in competition with a lowly
raptor? One who was a dull brown. So he had paradise mutation too.
Big deal. He was a dull tan.  And that name. Feathers. Feathers?
seriously? His parents clearly weren't the most creative type.  The
beautiful Indominus they were both trying to win over shouldn't even
be considering him. How Feathers still stood a chance he had no clue.
the little creep was even arrogant enough to think he was more than a
match for his own beauty.  What a joke. He smiled as he stepped out
onto the plains from the woods spotting her. Black Cherry or Cherries
as she preferred to be called, but his smile didn't last long.

Prancing
around in front of her was that little pest.  The most infuriating
part was that Cherries seemed to be amused by his antics and not in a
good way.  More in a "he makes me laugh, I like a man who can
make me laugh" kind of way.  He wanted to stomp the little creep
into the earth but knew that would turn Cherries off immediately. She
might even attack him.  She felt protective of Feathers and her other
raptor friends.  Forcing on a friendly smile he walked over to
Cherries. "Beautiful night, isn't it? of course, it's not half
as beautiful as you."  Cherries smiled politely while Feathers
snorted. "Lame" he muttered.  Saint gave Feathers a
murderous look. "Don't you have some hunting to do?"
"Nope," Feathers replied smugly. "Cherries and I had
dinner already" Cherries smiled. "Feathers caught fish for
us." Saint forced a smile. "Fish. How nice. I prefer deer
myself" Cherries shrugged. "Deer is good, but I love fish."
Saint couldn't look at Feathers' smug face.

Cherries
looked up at the sky.  "Look, boys, a lunar eclipse!" both
looked up surprised.  "Jump on my back" Saint suggested.
"You'll get a better look" "Great idea!"
exclaimed Cherries. "Come on, Feathers!" To Saint's
chagrin, Feathers also hopped up and snuggled up next to Cherries.
The three stood in silence watching as the eclipse took place.  It
was breathtaking. "This is what we should call our first
hatchling. Eclipse" Feathers commented to Cherries.  Before he
could stop himself, Saint rolled his eyes. "Who'd want to have a
hatchling with a loser like you?" Annoyed Cherries snapped "That
was uncalled for.  If you can't be civil, go elsewhere" She
hopped off of Saint's back, taking Feathers with her.

Saint
lost his temper.  "You can't be serious! What does that shrimp
have that I don't have?" Feathers wisely kept his mouth shut.
"He's not an egotistical jerk who constantly puts others down,"
she replied.  "I try to be nice to you, but you are a jerk."
"Hey whatever" Saint replied angrily. "lots of girls
would be happy to be with me.  "Then go find them" Cherries
snapped.  She walked away with Feathers at her side.  "What just
happened?" Saint muttered to himself.  "whatever, she
wasn't that good looking anyway" Saint walked off looking for
someone better. She's out there and I'm going to find her" he
told himself with a confident smile.  "Who wouldn't love to be
with me?"  Pausing to admire his reflection in a nearby pond, he
ran off into the night with a chuckle.  "I really am the best
looking male around". He consoled himself proudly.
