Andromeda - Huckleberry - Scytus - Hunting - Warrenfall - Moose and Bear It was just about time to begin the hunt. It was going to be one of his first times hunting with the new group of vayrons he just met only weeks before.

"Easy. I am quite the skilled hunter, I'm surprised Kozel is not coming through," Andromeda interrupted Huckleberrys thoughts. To him it was surprising, but Kozel had other duties to fill. she wasn't just a hunter anymore like she used to be.

Scytus then walked up to her paranoid. "I don't want to get hurt. You're definitely going in first before me. Huckleberry next!" he roared with a clear decision made.

"When he decides something, there's no changing what'll happen. If you couldn't tell, he decided," Andromeda looked to Huckleberry and smiled. "In other words, he's quite stubborn," she whispered to him. Turning back to her partner, she continued. "We are going to start now. Let's head off," she said as she turned to walk out towards the forest. The other two followed close behind, Huckleberry last. It was beautiful where they were. Beyond Andromeda was tons of rolling hills, with large green spots of trees. There was a small river ahead with silver stones underneath the flowing currents. Andromeda was careful as she made her way down the slightly steep mountain. Scytus followed close behind with Huckleberry still at the back until they finally reached the bottom of the hill. Looking around, Scytus noticed the river was closeby. Next to it was a large Moose, one they assumed they'd be hunting.

"Over there Andromeda," he pointed his muzzle in the direction of it. Almost right away Andromeda crouched and the others followed her movements into the forest, hiding from it.

"Huckleberry. You can stay here. I know your talents," she pointed out, while she told Scytus to do the same. Continuing, "Ill go from behind and scare it towards you both. Huckle, jump onto it and attack. Scytus, just try your best. This may be one of your first hunts."

Huckleberry focused on her as she began to disappear into the forest. Being careful not to step on any twigs and snap them, she made her way behind the moose. Ironically enough, there seemed to be something jumping out just before she could. A large creature ran at the moose but was unlucky when Andromeda jumped onto its back and begun to bite into it. It wasn't large enough to be considered a threat to someone like ANdromeda, but still dangerous. The moose whirled in the direction of both Scytus and Huckleberry, but Scytus seemed to do nothing except attempt to dodge. Andromeda was right. Leaping to the side and grabbing one of its hindlegs when it got closer, he pulled on its leg to make it fall. Scytus then launched an attack on its hip, biting into the skin.

While they took care of that, Andromeda continued with the other creature. It was the next thing they wanted on their list, a bear. As it began to jump at her she didn't seem to be afraid and instead used it as a chance. She clawed the side of its face with dull nails, but with enough pressure to inflict heavy damage to its eye. It roared at her, and she made the choice to look back at her partner Scytus, and the new friend Huckleberry. "Take care of this, will ya?" she exclaimed over the whimpering of an anxious Scytus. Huckleberry heard her and went at the bear, Scytus following close behind. Huckleberry made sure to focus on the bear, biting at its legs until Scytus took over that small job for him. Huckleberry jumped onto it back and as it swung at him, he jumped off only to run to the other side of the bear which was blind and bit into its neck. Soon enough it passed away. While that was happening Andromeda jumped onto the back of the moose when it tried to chase Huckleberry. She growled as it tried to throw her off, without succeeding, then clawed at the creature's neck before she bit into it hoping that it would make it fall. It continued to swing its horns at her instead, threatening to hit her on the shoulders. She took a second to peer over to the others, seeing that they succeeded. She barked, "Well don't just stand there, help me as well! We aren't done yet!"

"Sorry!" Scytus responded before him and Huckleberry charged at the moose. Scytus clamped his jaws onto the legs of the moose while Huckleberry jumped onto its back, making it heavier. Andromeda lunged at its throat, and it was nearly done seconds later. Huckleberry got off of its back when it fell and helped her bite its throat, with Scytus later joining in. Seconds later the moose was defeated, and the three had to start planning instead. Personal work + 1 Added Reos + 2 Land Bonus + 1 Hunting + 1 811 words + 8 Total = 13

Continuing their walk altogether, Elakshi chatted with Destan. it was a polite chat, nothing too aggressive from Destan. Andromeda continued to follow them close behind, listening to the noises she heard. Soft crunches were the biggest noise she heard currently, with the whispering of the wind which seemed quite odd that night. Stars were lacking in the nighttime sky, with a cold breeze that ruffled all of their coats. Dancing across the view was snowflakes, which Destan would attempt to eat for the fun of it. Elakshi was paying close attention to them all as if she knew something was going to happen. Especially after so many recent events.

"Im finally starting to feel relaxed," Destan told them both. He seemed to catch Andromeda's glare which caused him to turn his face away from her awkwardly, and back to Elakshi who seemed much friendlier. Andromeda could feel something.

"Andromeda..." Elakshi started, as she realized there really was something wrong. "Are you alright?" she requested, but Andromeda didn't respond. To focused. Catching the smell of a candle, Elakshis eyes widened. "Something is there."

"I think we should avoid it."

"Great. It's going to be one of those guys again. Im is actually so sick of them. Why don't we just go tell them to shoo forever?" Destan requested in a joking tone. It seemed like he really didn't think it was another one of those creatures until Elakshi sprinted towards it to see what it was. Destan followed close behind, with Andromeda taking up the last part of the line. Being large as a puller, Andromeda tried to stay to the side of them in case anything bad happened. She has heard of the Lich in stories. With so many recent events, she has been on edge. Elakshi walked forward attempting to examine the ground in front of her, noticing four lit candles in a circle on the snowy ground. Around them were a few rocks with dead bushes, but what worried her was that in the center of it all there were vayron bones. Destan tried to walk forward to get a better smell, smelling only the old death of someone from long ago. "This isn't right," he stated. "This vayron.. or tyrian, from the smells of it, is obviously old but still smells fresh. Something is wrong. Someone here must not be doing anything good. Perhaps trying to scare people thanks to the other anomalies," he decided.

"I agree-" Elakshi started, but was interrupted.

"Who are you and what brings you here?" Said a raspy voice. Whenever the creature spoke, it smelled like death even more. Andromeda was already beginning to walk forward before Destan stopped him.

"More like who are you? You realize due to the recent events this must be terrifying to other creatures like ourselves. Its really awful what you're doing," Destan growled as the fur on his back raised.

"He's not wrong. You really need to stop this," Elakshi stepped forward, holding her ground. The flames on the circle began to flare with fire, making both steps back right away.

"You think this is a game?" The creature demanded, stepping forward with outstretched wings. The darkness of the night still continued to swallow him, making it hard to see who they were.

"It was never a game. Not to us. It seems like it is for you. Stop using magic like this. Leave," Elakshi stated. From Destans and Elakshi's view, the creature was simply trying to scare others with the magic of fire. It wasn't going to work on them, though. Andromeda seemed to be catching more of what was happening, with her eyes starting to close as she thought more of what to do. Right at that moment, you could hear a howl which was of the Lich lashing out at Destan and Elakshi. All three caught sight of their skeletal face and wings, making Destan shrink as Elakshi stepped back further, biting into Destans ruff and trying to drag him back. Andromeda made sure they could get a safe distance away by leaping at the creature, attempting to swipe her claws across the dark skeletal vayrons face.

"RUN!" she exclaimed before getting injured herself, bits of her blood dropping into the circle when the flames burned her slightly. Luckily, it wasn't enough to injure her to bad.

The Vayron howled again which caused the three of them to run faster until they felt they were a safe distance away and paused to catch their breath. Between pants, Elakshi said, "That... Creature... Is Not natural!..." She took a deep breath to try and slow her breathing, "Did you see it skeletal limbs?" She shuddered, "It is abhorrent to nature and whatever rites or magic it is trying to perform is desecrating the earth in that area." She shuddered again as anger started to replace the fear on her face.

"I agree," said Andromeda, "It didn't feel right as we approached the area where it sat. I felt something was off but couldn't put my paw on it." She winced as she moved her paw and irritated a burn she had received in her flee after attacking the strange vayron.

Destan saw her wince and moved over to her, "here let me help you with that." He dug around in one of his bags before he pulled out a squat round container with a lid and some bandages. He reached for her paw, "here let me put some of this ointment on, it will help heal the burn and ease some of the pain." She winced slightly as he rubbed the ointment in and then he started to wrap it in the bandages. He tied it off then put his supplies away as she said, "thank you for that," will a small smile on her face. Destan nodded at her then looked over at Elakshi, "are you hurt at all?"

Elakshi's anger was very apparent on her face as she said, "No, I am not injured but we must do something about that stranger before he does any more irreparable damage. I can't believe anyone could be such an idiot!" She harrumphed angrily.

“I completely agree with you on that. But this time we need to work together and if it comes to a fighting attack from all sides, so it can”t focus on us that easily. Also maybe Andromeda, you should stay back here as you are hurt?”, Destan agreed with Elakshi, not though without clearly showing the concern he had on his face when thinking about this plan. Keeping in mind that at the first encounter they were not prepared for what has expected them though, those thoughts have lingered. Both him and Elakshi now looked skeptical at Andromeda, who had said she wanted to come with them to help.

“Are you sure about that”, Andromeda asked, but the answer came quick: “Absolutely. Even if I am hurt we will be way stronger if all three of us go together.”

With those words in mind, the Trio went back to the circle where they had encountered the creature and stepped inside the area, which had an effect on the creature turning around with immediate effect. “You hurt our friend. If you don't have an explanation for that, we will have to kill you to make sure you don't hurt anybody else.”

Destan had wanted to try this diplomatic way first, but it only seemed to raise anger in the strange being.

Destan, Elakshi, and Andromeda approached the dark creature from three different points forming a triangle so that they would be a hard target to attack. They paused and looked at each other since they were getting close and had yet to get a response from the dark creature. They all took another step forward and a gonging started ringing in the air which caused them all to look up. The creature's eyes glowed brilliantly in a blinding light causing them to cry out in pain as a heavy fog seeped into their surroundings.

Elakshi looked up after rubbing her eyes and blinking heavily as she scanned her surroundings she could no longer see the others, all she could see was fog. "Hey!" she called out, "where is everyone?" She rubbed at her face again and tried to peer through the heavy fog as she took a tentative step. How could they all have suddenly just disappeared? It made no sense! Suddenly voice echos out of the fog "..akshi..." and a chill shivered down her spine as her eyes went wide and dread filled her body. "...Elakshi..."

It was a female younglings voice, one that was from her far past, one that she thought she had forgotten. "No, no it can't be..." Elakshi shook her head as she started to back away. "...Elakshi... Why?... Why did you leave me?..." A phantom shape seemed to step out of the creeping fog, it was only twice as dark as the fog and wasn't solid, its shape kept shifting around as if it were made of smoke. The eyes glowed a light blue and felt as if they pierced into her soul, the mouth moved and whispered her name, "...Elakshi..."

Elakshi crumpled to the ground slowly as tears streamed down her face, her eyes were locked on the shape of the phantom as it felt like ice was spreading through her veins. How?... how did this creature know... know her?? No one knew about her, not even her mate. The phantom started to circle around her and kept asking why as well as saying her name. Elakshi started to fall deeper and deeper into a well of despair as the fog slowly smothered around her. When the phantom reached out a ghostly paw to touch her, she shrieked and started to crawl backward almost frantically. No! No, she couldn't let her touch her! If she did then it meant that this was real and it just couldn't be! She just kept shaking her head, flinging tears as she kept backing away.

What was happening to Elakshi was somehow happening to Andromeda too. From the mist, a pale-colored vayron appeared which proved to be her sister. Mixed feelings rushed back to Andromeda since it has been years since she last saw her sister. "Andromeda."

"Why are you so... pale?" Andromeda asked her. "This isn't the best time- Im really glad to see you but a fight is about to happen. You need to hide somewhere and we can talk late-" Andromeda attempted to say without stumbling.

Rushing forward the vayron responded. "I died Andromeda. A long time ago in fact. When you left the family for that guy we all sort of... left as well. It was like you took something when you left. Like you took parts of us."

"No... It wasn't at all," Andromeda stated, feeling her paws wanting to curl. It felt like her fur wanted to just fall off as her sister continued to speak. "You realize... it was never me."

Growling, her sister responded harshly. "It was always because of you. You left when we needed you the most. You left when we cared the most," she spat at her.

Andromeda seemed to turn away but when she did her sister told her to look her in her eyes. Her eyes were pale but had a slight glow of color to them. It felt like the air was getting colder when she attempted to look around but couldn't find anyone. "I hate you."

"The feeling is mutual. Now isn't it? Be glad it's me here and not another memory of the family. We are watching."

"Of course you are. Please don't judge my past though. I left for a reason."

"And what was that reason?" her sister requested. "A reason that isn't any of your business. If you watch me you'd find out soon enough anyway. Now leave. I have friends to protect."

Laughing, her sister walked off disappearing into the night. "Goodbye then."

Waking up from her odd vision, Andromeda noticed the air colder as her breath appeared in the air. Looking up to the Lich, she stammered, "What did you just do?" As she began to tear up. Looking over to Destan and the other vayron Elakshi quickly, she checked if they were okay but Destan was still going through what she did. Growling, Andromeda continued to question the Lich which seemed to smile.

"I showed you a lost one. That's what I want to do myself. Don't bother trying to stop me," the Lich finished.

Elakshi looked to Destan which was starting to wake up, but Andromeda held her place in case the Lich would attack.

Lost in thoughts, Destan felt alone. He was seeing things he never thought he would remember or see again, or even think of. In front of him were memories from the past, ones he tried his best to forget. One of them was of a childhood memory where he almost lost a family member because as a pup he thought he could take on a bear. His older brother came to save him but it was always something risky when his older brother wasn't actually that huge. The memories were made of mist and quite peaceful at first until the battle started where his brother got injured pretty badly. Destan looked at the memory with worry and sadness, but he was glad that his brother was still alright. When he turned around he saw a new memory which consisted of when he had his goal in life chosen. It was quite simple, protect the family. He has already failed though, which started to make him tear up. He left the family a while ago, but he did plan to go back. He simply wanted to get better first.

As Elakshi woke up, her sadness and confusion were still with her, but with the realization of what had just happened to her and seemingly also her friends, those feelings began to convert. Sadness gave way to anger and confusion gave way to determination, as Elakshi spoke to the creature that was watching her friends, with Destan only now waking up again.

“You had no right to do this. However you did it, those memories were personal and none of your business. Explain yourself and why you did it, immediately.”, Elakshi yelled at the creature.

Mocking laughter rumbled through the air, as she was done the speaking, and while it was clearly made by the creature it seemed to come from everywhere around them at once, leaving a shiver on Andromeda’s fur before a response was to be heard: “Who do you think you are? It's funny how much you little Vayron’s overrate yourself.”

With those words still echoing through the forest, the creature began glowing in bright light and smoke spread all around it, which made the three-step back as it got hard to breathe nearby before suddenly everything was over and the creature was gone. Still paralyzed from their experience, the Trio began to slowly make their way back home.

As soon as Blackie stepped outside the village, he broke into a faced paced trot. The uneven dirt road threatened to trip him up but he knew the path well enough to navigate it. He was becoming better and better at making these deliveries and also more reliable. Soon they’ll be having him take on much larger parcels and delivering from town to town. The thought intimidated him a bit. He was still getting used to being on his own, but the fact that they put so much trust in him boosted his confidence a little.

He felt a little tug on his harness as he hopped over the seventh pothole. His left paw slipped off the lip and splashed into the puddle lying at the bottom. Blackie grimaced when the cold water splattered up his leg. He hoped none of it got to the fresh bread and documents he was carrying. He felt a tug on his left side again and looked over to where he could hear Andromeda’s heavy footfalls.

“What?” He asked a tad bit annoyed.

“Slow down, will you? At this pace, we’ll just tire out faster and take longer to get there.” She huffed.

Blackie had requested an escort for this trip and Andromeda answered his call. He was grateful for her but he wished she would let him set the pace. He wanted to finish this delivery as soon as possible.

“I can’t slow down. I have these documents and letters I need to deliver to this family. There’s also this bread. I gotta deliver it while it’s still fresh. There’s no time to lose!” He tried to speed up again but Andromeda grabbed his harness, forcing him to slow down.

“Woah, Woah, Woah. First off, that bread isn’t even fresh. Second, what’s got you all worked up, huh? Why the rush?” Blackie fell silent. He didn’t tell anyone the real reason he needed an escort. He assumed his boss would laugh and send him off on his own again. He thought back to the last time he made a delivery to this same family and that strange vayron that lurked in those fields. Blackie thought he was attentive to his surroundings but the vayron seemed to suddenly appear in front of him. When he used his raven’s eyes to see who he crashed into, he found that this was no normal vayron. The thing’s face scared him half to death and chased him across the fields. It was probably the scariest moment of his life. The family, however, was quite satisfied with his quick delivery time and requested him again. Of course, they did.

“Bandits,” he said quietly. It wasn’t quite a lie. There have been rumors of a group of bandits, ganging up on carriers like him and stealing their goods. Blackie hadn’t come across any of them yet. He’s been very cautious about the roads he takes.

“Ah, I see. Well no need to worry. I can handle them all! Be it two, five or ten bandits, They won’t stand a chance against me.” She grinned down at him. Blackie felt a bit of relief, seeing Andromeda so confident in herself. He forced himself to slow down as she suggested. I’ll be fine. He assured himself and they continued down the long dirt road.

Destan hadn’t been paying too much attention to their conversation, as he was traveling a lot and therefore used to running longer distances when having to reach a goal before the night would fall upon him or being chased by outlaws that were often settling hidden near the main pathways and would attack lone travelers from behind after passing them by. But he noticed that Andromeda, being rather a fighter and sprinter than having much stamina would not be able to follow their pace for the whole trip and Destan knew that when traveling in a group it was an unwritten rule that the slowest would set the pace.

“You are the best runner of us, Blackie, but I find it pretty nice that Andromeda is coming with us without wanting anything in return, so it would only be fair if we let her set the pace, don't you think so?”, Destan whispered to his friend, not letting Andromeda hear it as he knew Blackie wouldn’t like it looking as if he gave in to his friend and rather make himself seem as being kind. “Andromeda, you go ahead,” the Vayron said while slowly falling back until being next to her, “for once they will have to get their delivery at a normal speed.”

“They will survive it,” Destan commented and let himself fall back a little more. He liked to walk a little separate from the others and let his view wander around the landscape. Currently, it was late summer, so they were walking through mixtures of high grass and trees with the first red leaves for the next few hours, before starting to reach the farmlands where Blackie’s customers had built their home. After having wandered through fields where grass had been cut not long ago and was now drying in the sun to be sold as hay later on when being bound together to carryable trusses, the Trio started to be surrounded by tall wheat that had a beautiful golden-yellow color and would surely soon be ready for harvest, if such hadn’t started already.

Suddenly a hissing sound was to be heard next to Destan, who instinctively jumped back as he had had quite a few encounters with rattlesnakes before and the sounds he heard now had brought up those memories. But looking on the ground in front of him, he saw no snake, but the paws that turned out to be part of a huge creature nothing like anything he had ever seen before.

“Guys...there...here…” he stuttered, slowly making steps backward. It walked closer but instead became more friendly and curious instead of terrifying. Destan was still worried at how large it was and if it would attack the other hand. It seemed curious about what they were holding, which happened to be bread. Lowering his head in submission, the chimera seemed to be stepping closer slowly.

"No way!" Andromeda spoke, it seemed more like an excited voice though. The chimera's head perked up with the snake still staring at the bread. Blackie, on the other hand, was more curious about the reaction that could be provoked if they didn't give it. Of course, Andromeda warned them that its best to simply give them it. "It's clearly what they want. Why not just give them it? You want something like that on your side," she told Blackie who nodded. Destan glared at them but set the basket on the ground, waiting for the chimera to take advantage of this moment and collect the bread. It started to eat the bread quickly, in fact chewing on the basket itself. Blackie began to laugh at Destan making jokes about how the creature really enjoyed breadcrumbs. On the other hand, Andromeda was still curious and excited at the creature, so she started to question it about if it went through any previous situations for it to end up this way. It seemed to simply growl at the questions and disappeared once again.

Andromeda and Scytus “You realize how important you are to me, right?”

“I like to think so, yes.” Scytus responded. In front of him was Andromeda, one of the most beautiful vayrons he knew. She seemed to be just like him, experts in their own fields. The similarities was still endless, just like how the stars seemed to shine in their pelts. Andromeda really looked like a galaxy, Scytus the planets you could find within it.

“Then prove it to me.”

“Not right now. I'm trying to admire you. After all, aren’t we meant to get bonded soon?” Being bonded was important to him. Almost as important as just seeing Andromeda here with him. They promised to give each other nicknames when they finally were connected spiritually instead of just physically. It was nice having Andromeda with him, especially since she seemed to be doing everything for him. As bad as that sounds, it was nice.

Andromeda would always be helping him on his small missions, it was time he helped her though. More than once she managed to bring back an object that would continue his studies further and allow him to test the real thing. Recently though, he got her a small bird. Small for her at least. A parrot. It was mostly white, with small shades of blue here and there. Obviously something unnatural.

“Of course! I'm actually quite excited. It's nice actually being normal with you. Around almost everyone else I have to seem mean and strict!” But technically she was. Only a while ago she was something dangerous. Attacking everything and everyone, leaving them without any company. Alaska seemed pretty happy here though, helping me with my ideas. Andromeda seemed to go dark after a while of rare communication with me though I noticed.

Scytus always found it interesting how aggressive she could get through, which left him to let Alaska stay with her for a while. She was sweet to her, but to the vayron that attacked them she was brutal. She proved herself to be worth it, hence why he remains with her even though she could become a monster so easily.

“I've noticed something. Something odd about myself,” Andromeda stated, catching Cytus full attention.

“And that is?”

“What I can actually do. I feel like I can control gravity sometimes… if you know what I mean. Enchanted strength or just making my body insanely heavier? I'm not sure. Sometimes particles float in the sky around me too,” she finished with worry. “I don't know what it means,” she spoke. She seemed uncomfortable hinting to get an answer from him. As if Scytus was going to just walk away.

“It means you are getting magic. There's three types- we just need to find out what type.” It means you're becoming a monster, Scytus teased himself. He wouldn't be far off though. Its best to keep her near me in case she does change.

“So you'll help me then?” Her eyes sparked. It was hilarious how odd and weak she would seem with him. He was told by one of her friends Noah how she took down three runners once just to get another object for me.

“Of course, but let's head back first,” he responded. Together under the moon creatures could easily hear them- some unwanted. He rarely ever went out at day, his favorite time being night. Every full moon he promised her they’d go outside and talk.

“Fine, but next time I want this to be longer.”

With that, he got on all four legs. Crunch. His pawsteps sounded heavy, but hers didn’t. Looking forward as I walked, I could feel eyes resting on me. Our pathway was simple, following the beaten down line of dirt. Flowers soaking in the moon's glow hung over the path, with the trees doing just as the flowers did. He knew that her thoughts would always rush to think of something else which left him wondering what she was actually thinking about at the time. Lost in his thoughts, he didn’t even realize they were already there. Looking over to Andromeda Scytus spoke, “Were here,” but noticed bits of twig in her mane. Bending his bend over to pick them out of her fur he spat them out.

Their home was quite impressive since it consisted of an old temple made from stone. Bits of marble were inside though, hidden from the world. Old riches used to lay here before they were stolen by humans and other vayrons just like them. When Andromeda came there, she kept it for herself at first since she found nothing there. He realized over time she won’t leave anywheres without anything. Moving out of his old home he ended up coming here with Andromeda.

Vines surrounded the base of the pillars, which stood next to large boulders. The roof of this home was covered with another large boulder which collided with the top of the structure. Additionally there were small holes inside which still left small pools of water, but one hole was large enough to serve as a skylight. “Were you going to take a soak in the pool?” he questioned her.

“Yeah, aren’t you?”

“Only if you do.” Walking inside, darkness engulfed them for roughly five seconds before appearing in the main room which had figures carved from the stone floor. Moss was growing on the sides of their home, vines twisting around to it. An old bookcase stood around where they came from, holding all of the books Andromeda got them both. Andromeda walked over to it speaking.

“I'll be bringing this to Alaska. She's reading so much! It makes me quite happy,” she finished as she then grabbed the book to disappear into the darkness of another room. Moments later she was back out walking towards the small pool at the very back, going through a short hallway. “You know we could start a small clan right?” the walls echoed her voice.

“I do, but I want to finish my experiments first.”

“They could help you with it.”

“No, I don't want thieves here.”

“Aren’t I a thief?”

He paused. “No, but they are. I don't want to risk Alaska. We could let Noah stay though, but he could bring trouble.”

“This place is extremely quiet. Noah isn’t welcomed here. You literally just said no thieves anyway,” she responded. The water started to show waves when Andromeda collides with the water. Scytus followed behind her, stepping into the pool with her. Splash! Not as gracefully quiet as Andromeda, but the same either way.

“You know exactly what else we can do. I really want another kid, they are so precious. This time though…”

“I do as well, Andromeda.” A flare of love flowed through him just as the waters cold touch did.

“YUCKY!”

“Great. I almost forgot about the parrot.”

Scytus watched as she walked out of the pool, droplets of water hitting the ground just like a rainstorm hit the ground. Her paws guided her towards the cage that the parrot was MEANT to be sleeping in currently, the parrots eyes staring at her when it tilted its head side to side.

“FOOD, NOW!” it demanded.

“Get it yourself Mr.Bird Poop,” she responded sassily. Nuzzling the beak of the bird, she walked back to the pool. The cage that the bird was in had white steel and made for safety, but he recently did edits that left the cage open so the bird who was named Nathaniel could easily get out of in order to get his food. Obviously, he wasn’t used to it yet so he would get permission with a nuzzle. Clink, Clang. The bird crawled out of the cage to disturb the peaceful bag of birdseed.

“What's the news on today, Nathaniel?” Scytus requested. Andromeda was trying to relax currently, laying down in the pool. The skylight from above shone on her pelt, distracting him fairly well as Nathaniel responded. Stars seemed to glow straight from her, dancing in a blue and purple galaxy that was her fur.

“WELL, A RAT CAME BUT ALASKA ATE IT,” it squealed.

“Wait what?” Andromeda opened her eyes suddenly.

“SHE ATE A RAT,” he repeated.

“Why the hell would she eat it?” She turned to me.

“How would I know? I don’t study vayrons!”

“Well she's still YOUR daughter too! Don’t you talk to her?” she questioned him.

“Uh- of course. Yeah, of course I do. I just don’t know why she would eat a rat. Aren’t YOU hunting?” he turned the tables.

“Of course I'm hunting but she's literally eating rats. I’ve noticed that you have gained some extra pounds recently-”

“Don’t even go there!” he barked, but had a faint smile to let her know he was just teasing her.

“SHE ALSO HELPED-”

Andromeda glared at Nathaniel. “No, no more. We don’t want to know.”

“SHUT UP!” it squawked.

“So… that's what she helped with, teaching you to suddenly be a jerk.” Scytus noted. “Surprisingly, I think I agree with him on this one though.”

“You must of got lessons too, huh?”

“I mean.. Sure. Oh yeah, Andromeda? I want to do more work on the home if we are meant to stay here.”

“We will be. I've been looking around for places that sell furniture. I really do want to have more lights though… Especially for Alaska.” Her room was dark, just like Scytus’s and Andromeda's was. She only really had a couple blankets that she got to keep from the previous home Andromeda shared with her. I protested that the blankets were bad memories for both of them, but she wanted to keep them. She claimed the others were not soft enough. In their current home they had multiple rooms, since it thankfully was fairly large temple. It always amazes them how no humans took it or even other vayrons- but they assumed that the humans simply got what they wanted. Temples were left alone at most times for wild vayrons to get. One thing he loved about the temple was how many rooms there was, one being deeper underground but filled with water. They never bothered to touch those rooms since they were filled to the top of the stairs with greenish water. It scared all of them, so they tried to hang a blanket over the entryway of the room. Andromeda would comment on how the small tunnel could actually have lots of treasures deep within it with other rooms… but right now it wasn’t anything they wanted to risk. They had a large room with smaller makeshift ones within it. Two hallways that connected to each other kept the kitchen, Alaska's room, me and Andromeda’s room, my personal room, and a couple others safe.Alaska had their old room, since it was the closest to the light of the main room. “We need to make sure though that we can have the entrance be safer…” I trailed off.

“Of course. I think that this room should be more open for the parrot too!’

“What? He will crap everywhere!”

“CRAP!” they chirped. Splat.

“Look at what you made him do. You scared him!”

“Oh hush it lady,” he teased before continuing. “I want that too but instead a larger cage built into the wall. I do want the bird able to go anywhere though too.”

“Another young vayron too, right?” Andromeda questioned. She was trying hard for such a small creature, since she wanted to have their own. She happened to speak of how empty the home was from time to time, leaving Scytus slightly uncomfortable. It made him think about it himself.

She mentioned before that if she got one she’d want a male. A female would be great as well but instead something for a later date. It did worry Scytus that Alaska may not be treated as well though if such a thing happened, due to her being adopted. Additionally about how Andromeda would behave. Would she keep him away from the son?

“With our luck we’d get a girl,” she whispered to him.

“Girls aren’t even that bad yaknow. I'd be happy with just anything, lucky with anything in fact. Call me crazy, but I do have an idea as well,” he finished. He was still laying in the pool that she was currently in, the bird finally being silent as it listened.

“What is it then? Also, I know girls aren’t that bad… I just like diversity.”

“Good. And I meant that we could just adopt more vayrons. I know one that is still young, a chaser, but she isn’t accepted by many due to being born… Inbred,” he hated saying that word since it came with such a heavy meaning. The poor chaser could of been stillborn… which was an awful way to enter the world. It was shunned to be Inbred and even Andromeda cringed when she heard the word.

“That's awful.”

“I know. She isn’t treated fairly. She wants to leave home and start a new,” He added.

“How do you know anything about her though?” she questioned him with sharp eyes.

“I do have people that come here you know.” Admittedly, he did. Time to time he’d check if there was any vayrons up for adoption. He was lucky with Alaska, surprising Andromeda with such an adorable creature like her. He never got to hear her backstory, but instead that she needed a home right away.

“Of course… I'm sure you still do things in secret, though.”

“LIke what?”

“Thinking about entering that odd room! I'm really curious about it too though,” she exclaimed. “Listen, I really want to sleep now.”

“I actually do too,” he responded realizing how druzy he was getting. Crawling out of the water silver diamonds splattered onto the floor reminding them of waterfalls. Andromeda followed close behind, black beady eyes looking at them as they did so. The eyes were from the parrot, who examined where the nose was coming from.

They trotted into their room which was almost entirely black. Ripped pale cloth covered the stone walls to show a bit of color, with pelts to numerous animals on the floor. Some of the pelts were from white foxes, prey they caught during winter. One was a tiger, others being the casual moose. In the corner were lightless candles and books cluttered to the top of the room. The center laid the main bed, consisting of multiple small blankets and a single large one that humans gave to them. The large one was given to them after three years went by of the couple protecting the property against villainous beings. Additionally, for finally settling in one of the favorite spots the family of humans had. Time to time their son would come over for a visit, but now his peace was promised since scavengers and the like didn’t visit anymore. The small skylight soaked Andromeda's fur in moonlight as she curled up. Scytus curled around her, closing his eyes. “I love you.”

“I love you too,” she whispered.

------ Next Day

Just as his eyes opened, Alaska blocked his view. “Mommy said she was going to kill a dragon later!”

“A dragon?” Scytus responded. He got onto all fours again, lowering his head for Alaska to climb onto.

“Yeah! She said I was going to get some scales too…” she gave a toothy smile.

“I'm sure you will. I call the wings though! I could make some fake wings from them you know? Or even your mother…” he reached the main room with Andromeda.

“Well hello there Alaska!” she exclaimed. The small flying snowflakes attempted to fly onto Andromeda screaming mommy. Alaska lived having no idea she was adopted, and it wasn't something they planned on telling her until they were older. They assumed Alaska when older would want to go to discover them on a long journey.

“I think she likes you,” Scytus teased. Alaska turned to look at him, opening her mouth to randomly screech with a smile. “The hell?” he exclaimed.

“Daddy!”

“Okay… new topic.”

“Did you eat the rat?” Andromeda asked.

“The rat…? No!” Alaska spoke with shock.

“Alaska…” She responded.

“I DID!”

“Who was that?” Scytus responded. “Oh… Nathaniel.”

“Okay so he lied to us Scytus.”

“Ya!” Alaska responded with confusion.

“Mama, about the dragon…” Alaska continued.

“Yes?” she responded. Personal work + 1 Added Reos + 2 Land Bonus + 1 2727 words + 27 Total = 31 Andromeda, Noah, and Alijah - Personal - Warrenfall

“We need to hurry, I really don’t want to go through this again!” “We’re only in this mess because of you,’’ came a quick snarky response. Attempting to see if Andromeda was still here he searched for the blue coat. He wouldn’t be surprised if she ended up attacking the very creature they were running from. Rustling leaves blocked out his sight, ones which seemed to dance in the wind. “Andro?” he said. Noah seemed to be grumpy at his friends’ response, so he didn’t bother to turn for her. “Right here,” Andromeda appeared. Getting next to him as she matched their pace, she seemed focused on just escaping finally. “I think we are fine no- '' Elijah attempted to say right before Noah spoke. “COME ON GUYS I WON'T DO IT AGAIN,” he yelped. Noah was attempting to twist away, as if that would do him any good. Claws were grabbing him at his sides which unleashed drops of blood. His tail moved as if it was a piece of grass in a windstorm as it tried to avoid aggressive jaws. Flashes of silver had been seen wrapped around Noah's tail, appearing all over the place in the unfair battle. “I'm going to help...again,” Andromeda said before running back towards Noah. Large figures were above Noah, all happened to have soft white fur, a few ugly scars running along their chin and other parts of their body.. “Kill him. Or better yet, drag him back to where we were. Perhaps we can make him understand that not everything in this life is free,” a deep voice growled. Elijah seemed to simply stand there, waiting for Andromeda to finish her short fight. After all, it's something she does almost all the time. Something she excels at. Andromeda seemed to be in front of Elijah, on top of the biggest creature next. Leaves crunched when they fell onto the ground rolling over each other. Drops of blood were easily noticed as Andromeda tried her best to fight, spitting out the tufts of white hair she caught in her mouth. Turning to Noah, “Get out of here! This time do it CORRECTLY!” Already on his feet Noah spirited away. Elijah glared hard at Noah whose tail seemed to disappear more and more into the forest, jumping over the mossy logs which had flowers blooming on top of them. “You realize she may finally get killed one day thanks to your awful hobbies? Right?” “Yep. But I'll worry about when that happens. Right now, this is fine. Besides, I got just what I wanted from that awful place. They deserve it.” “But does Andromeda deserve it?” “If she didn’t like it, she wouldn’t come,” Noah stated. Elijah was almost next to Noah, except for the fact Noah seemed to be enjoying running oddly side to side instead of straight ahead. Hearing the thuds on the ground, Elijah's ears perked up. “I hope that's who we want it to be,” Noah whined. “I don't think it will be. I think one way or another you will get your butt kicked,” Elijah smirked. “Not yet!” Andromeda exclaimed. Suddenly right next to them, it surprised Noah. He was obviously pleased, but trying to play it off like this whole situation wasn’t his fault. “They randomly saw me and attacked me. I don’t know wh-” “Shut up. More like you stole something again. Now, Andromeda paid the price,” Elijah growled. The scent of blood was fairly thick, most of it from Andromeda. Elijah seemed to always come out of these situations safely, perhaps because he was an adventurer. Not a fighter, unlike Andromeda. “So that's what happened?” she said between huffs. “I'm getting very sick of protecting you due to your dumb situations. EIther way, they are dealt with,” she smiled. It was for sure fake. “You’re literally a wanted thief that doesn’t know how to escape, fight, or even live up to the world's idea of them. A vicious monster? Yeah right. The only thing that’s vicious is your--” “LIke… dead? If so we could come back to get more stuff,” Noah hinted. “...Greed,” Elijah finished for Andromeda. Already we were to an awkward start. Andromeda has never actually seen snow before and nether has Scytus so he decided to treat them both to seeing Roenden. They were still quite young, managing to live together in Warrenfall. Recently the boat just let them off and to see Roenden which Andromeda was uncomfortable from how much snow there actually was. "Why is there so much Scytus?" She asked him. He was standing next to her making sure no one would harm her since he knew they could stick out sometimes. Especially when they looked like a family, it was a little awkward.

"Because of the fact it's Roenden. What did you expect?" Roenden did show a lot of things it promised, though. Andromeda didn't even wait to point out the glorious mountains it had. Scytus already noticed how much snow there actually was, which shocked him. Andromeda, being uncomfortable at first, completely was shocked as well but embraced it shortly after. It was going to be a good day.

"I expected it to be warmer... Luckily my coat can manage it!" she exclaimed. Andromeda seemed to warm up quickly to the area, excited to see it snow. Stranded pieces of snowflakes fell from the sky, but it was fairly rare. At least they knew that snow was coming.

"It should snow soon. Don't worry. Normally It'll always snow and since it's actually winter currently... Christmas in fact, there will be lots of that. For now, I rented out a small place for us to stay. In town. There's normally vayrons there waiting for us,'' Scytus told her. She was sitting there now, in the snow, beginning to roll in it. Before he got into the snow and rolled with her, he tried to get used to the cold touch that the snow gave. "Brrrr!"

Andromeda looked at him as her back was in the snow, "It feels kind of like a blanket. You know that?" Noises of crunchiness were heard from both Andromeda and Scytus.

"Not quite. Feels more... cold," he responded before laying down in the snow. Small little snow angles formed in the snow, some having an odd face and even paws. Since they weren't too far off from where people were boarding the boat, some humans would laugh at them and make odd faces when they saw them playing. Younger vayrons seemed to be excited when they saw Andromedas and Scytus's expression, hopping into the snow around them before either their parents or human trainers called them over. Andromeda was adorable when she played, Scytus wondering if she found him adorable.

"So... I see it!" Claimed Andromeda as she saw snowflakes falling. "I’m really happy I got to see proper snow for the first time. Same with you I’m sure."

"Duh," Scytus responded. Andromeda and he watched the snowflakes fall. Like cold balls of cotton, they fell from the sky. It always amazes them how they were formed. For Scytus, it's mainly why they look the way they do. Not even a couple minutes later and they were in larger clumps falling. As if they were trying to bury Andromeda and Scytus, they got up from the snow. Bits of snow were stuck in their pelts and while Scytus shook them off, Andromeda allowed them to melt in her pelt.

"Before we get buried, let's go see that home you rented out. I’m quite curious!"

"Then let's go. I do want to say one thing though, I’d love to play more in the snow tomorrow with you. It's so fun just being with you," Scytus responded.

Leading the way Scytus told Andromeda to follow. They weren't too far off from the village they were heading to, so Andromeda would play in the snow along the way trying to examine the crunching noises her paws created. Getting closer to him, they continued to walk for a couple of minutes until they reached the village which had numerous houses all topped with snow. Candles were glowing through windows with people outside hugging friends and family, including vayrons. Some were just chatting and hanging up decorations as well.

The City was Roenden laid in a well so that the cold temperatures of this northern region would at least not be intensified by the strong wind gusts coming from the northern mountainsides. But nonetheless, it was freezing cold outside, so they noticed how the only people outside were ones actually having to work or greeting family members from the newly arrived ship, who all would get back inside as soon as possible.

“Look, Andromeda, isn’t it interesting how many of the houses are connected? I bet they did that so they don’t need to go outside to visit their neighbors,” Scytus noticed this city’s specialty that had been created due to even Vayron’s with their thick fur starting to freeze in these lands.

Soon the Duo arrived at a small inn, which was only marked by an old, rusty sign swinging loosely on a pole sticking out from above the door.

“This should be it,” Scytus pointed out and leaned against the door. “Let’s see if somebody is there to greet us!”

In fact, they found themselves in something that looked like a little living room, with a desk on which a human was sitting and a fireplace that created a warmth that would flow around them soon. Scytus and Andromeda were excited to start the next day playing in the snow. Personal work + 1 Added Reos + 2 Hunting + 1 Event Bonus +3 910 words + 9 Total = 16

Novarupta - Tobi - Andromeda 2966 - Roenden - Hunting - Wolf Tobi continued to wait for Novarupta in order to wait for the hunt. With him was Andromeda, a female vayron she recently met. She insisted on hunting with him when she saw him in Roenden since she was new here. It was obvious she has only been here a few times by how she walked in the snow. Snowflakes were continuing to fall, surrounding them in scattered puffs of white snowflakes. The snowfall was getting heavier the longer they waited. Tobi didn’t bother to make a short conversation ever since he noticed that she wasn’t. She blended in with the biome somewhat, being made of blues, purples, and mainly whites. Her muzzle seemed to be the color of ash, almost making him wonder if she dipped it in ink mistakingly. Soon enough Tobi could finally see a large dark pancake-like creature flying towards them. Andromeda, alarmed at first, looked at him questioningly. Tobi comforted her quickly, “That’s my buddy coming!” he spoke. The large creature soon got its shape. Remaining a pancake with honey that seemed to have syrup colored golden markings on its wings. Ahead was seen along with the bottom legs and a tail that helped guide the large creature towards us. When they were close enough they gracefully landed, being sure not to crush one of them. Andromeda couldn’t help but look into the eyes of the large tyrian. In response, it lowered its head and simply smiled. Tobi then walked forward, ready to answer the question Andromeda was about to ask, “Her name is Novarupta. What a nice name, right?” Tobi said cheerfully. Nodding, Andromeda backed up from Novablast. “What are we hunting though?” She spoke. She rarely ever got to hunt with a tyrian. “Being in Roenden, something simple. We will start with wolves.” Novarupta watched them carefully, then took to the skies. “She’s going to be back shortly. Just scanning for wolves. She's not much of a talker as you noticed,” Tobi told Andromeda. Andromeda simply nodded. The snowstorm seemed to die down, making it easier for Novarupta to figure out where the wolves could be. Scanning the area below, she found small tufts of moving white bodies that slid down the cold cotton covered hills, the sounds of swift paws and crunching snow filling the air. She attempted to stay close, trying to examine how many there were. After a minute or so she headed back proudly knowing there was a small pack of roughly five. Soon enough she saw the blue and purple gradient body of Andromeda, and the oranges of Tobi. Novarupta landed down below next to them, surprising Tobi. She then stood next to Tobi, still slightly wary of Andromeda. “Did you find anything?” Tobi questioned, and so Novarupta nodded. She pointed her claws in the direction of the wolves which made Tobi start tunning in the direction she pointed at. Andromeda followed, obviously focusing and getting into the mindset of hunting. While running Tobi made sure to both focus on not running into any snowy hills or Andromeda, but also following Novarupta through the forest. Almost a single minute later the three creatures could see roughly five fluffy bodies that seemed to freeze, noticing them. Without a warning, Novarupta swooped down to capture one of the largest wolves, disappearing into the sky, the view of her being blocked by snowflakes. Andromeda looked to Tobi waiting for her order, but Tobi only flicked his muzzle int eh direction of the wolves. Jumping forward, Tobi began to attack the closest one. Andromeda tried to attack another, almost missing. She clawed its side as it growled at her, jumping onto it shortly after to kill it quickly. She bit into its neck, finishing it off quickly. Tobi continued to stay focus on his own prey, ignoring the fact that two of the five wolves already ran off. Tobi Jumped into the wolf, biting into its throat. Shortly after the wolf died from the strike, and tuffs of white fur were stuck in his teeth. "Ew," Tobi said as he spat the fur out. He looked to the sky to see if Novarupta returned but didn't see her yet. Andromeda walked over to him and simply sat down. "Will she be back soon?" Andromeda questioned, but as she did Novarupta came down with the wolf that was dead. She landed next to Tobi, keeping her tail close to her. "Well, it seems like she is now," Tobi responded. "I'm assuming we are going to rest today?" he questioned. Novarupta shook her head and let Andromeda speak for her, "For a bit maybe. I want to hunt some more later though. We should get the wolves back to somewhere safe so no one takes them and runs off," she decided. Her voice was strict as if no one was going to change her mind.
