Tresn stood in the Gateway, just in front of the frigid entrance to Tenacity's world, awaiting the beginning of his incoming utopia. One by one, around the entrance to Tenacity's, new realities made themselves known as their openings blipped into the Gateway. Tresn's grin couldn't be contained, through patience and power he could finally achieve genocide.

Fido looked around at the new world, a luscious place full of tall and prideful structures. A fine location for the gathering of the world's powers of both realms. Fido's body felt empty and soulless as he drudged along with the crowd of suits, all wearing their respective flags and crests. He knew Tresn would be there to introduce himself, which meant someone would have to die. The glare from the dazzling building ahead made Fido squint, he could hardly process his own thoughts of dread over the excited chatter of powerful men who were now in essence immortal.

All the men sat around a long marble table, passing around drinks and laughing as they prepared to discuss the order of their new world. Fido stood next to two twin doors out of harm's way, he'd felt the tremors of Tresn's demanding presence. All at once the doors swung open, Tresn's towering figure forced itself into the room. A moment of dry silence filled the room, Tresn looking at the group and the group looking at him before laughter burst out of the mouths of the powerful world leaders.
"Fido, is this some kind of fetish?" one called out.
"Look at it's head!" another remarked. "Is that thing alive?"
Tresn eyed Fido before lightly pushing him aside with a hand.
"Move aside, Tenacity. Red is not your colour." with another hand, Tresn clutched the head of the nearest man, squeezing as a short scream of agony filled the now otherwise silenced room. Fido couldn't bring himself to watch as blood, skull and brain drooled from the gaps in Tresn's fingers. A few men shrieked, others couldn't help but vomit.
"Let us hope that gentlemen was not of significance." he remarked with a smile.
"Now, if your yelps and bellowing have concluded, I'd like to use this silence I've created to my benefit."
Faces all around the table eyed Tresn with terror and disgust as he spoke.
"I see that some among you look disgruntled. Before I begin I will ascertain; if you are not a coward, make yourself known."
Foolishly, four men stood up out of their chairs. Fido watched in awe and disbelief as the casualties racked up from one to five, four necks caught in four arms. The bodies fell onto the table with a smack, the remaining eight men sat rigid in their seats. A booming and blissful laugh filled the room, fulfillment shot through his brain, a high like no other. A few empty moments later, Tresn remembered he'd been in the middle of discussing business.
"Now, let us continue." pure joy was fleeting from Tresn's voice, being replaced with his usual intimidating scowl.
"To my remaining cowards, know that your cowardice is not a hindrance but an asset. Trust your fear and your spines will remain in their proper places." As Tresn spoke he carelessly walked over to the window and wiped blood off of his hands and onto the drapes.
"As we discuss the order of things just know I am unfamiliar with your jargon and laws of nonsense. I will lay my demands upon you and you will accept them, or I will accept your bloody resignation. Vocalize if you follow."
Hesitant and shaking voices affirmed Tresn's words, humanity was now in his grip.
"What I require is simple, a portion of the populous. Which portion is of no meaning to me, my existence need not even be an item to the majority of them. My portion must regularly be added upon, I cannot have a finite amount."
"W-what do you need a part of the population for?" a trembling voice dared to ask.
"An excellent query coward! Before I provide an answer, might I have your name?"
"M-Montery"
"Montery the coward, my requirement for a population stems from a place of addiction. Each living you provide to me will be slaughtered in one way or another, in slaughter I am brought fulfillment."
"We could give it death row." another man said more decisively.
"Death row? Intriguing, please educate me on this promisingly named group of humanity."
"Death row is the portion of the populous that will be executed for crimes too egregious for any other punishment." the now confident man stated.
"Most intriguing indeed..." Tresn thought for a moment. "How numerous is this population?"
The remaining men looked at each other and murmured before their consensus was reached.
"About twenty thousand."
Tresn looked taken aback.
"And this number is growing?"
"As long as people commit the unthinkable."
Another moment of consideration was had by Tresn before his choice had been made.
"Would you impart your name?"
"Elmhurst. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
Tresn found this mans behaviour strange, yet he oddly admired it.
"Elmhurst, I accept your proposition. I will have death row, and if I am satisfied the remainder of your population shall remain untouched."
"May I have your name?" Elmhurst asked.
"Tresn, I must say I am pleased to make your acquaintance in turn."
Tresn looked onward towards the entire group.
"Tenacity is my representative, him bringing you to this realm was my doing." He nudged Fido forward with a still bloody hand, a glimmer of pride shone in Tresn's voice.
"Think of him as my... puppet." Tresn couldn't help but laugh to the confusion of all in the room. He turned his back to the group, making his way out the door which revealed the bodies of mangled guards outside.
"Tenacity knows what I require, discuss further with him."
A hateful group of eyes turned to Fido, who could only return a guilty look back at them.
