The sun’s colors flushed into the surrounding sky; the forest canopy being illuminated with gold. The trees stood strong as the wind tried it’s best to sway them around and knock them over. Large pawprints were imprinted in the wet floor, occasionally deep red scratches seen in the surrounding tree trunks. A massive predator lurked around this area, unseen, agile and strong. There was also a tiny corgi that followed behind him.

Are we there yet?” The corgi asked the large beast, struggling to follow behind him. “Not yet... Be a good girl and wait.” A reply came back from the shadows. The corgi was called Fluffers, and our mysterious beast called, Evorsor. The ground once grassy, was now covered in rocks, and Evorsor’s red claws clicked as he walked. A sound that had a rhythm. Click. Click. Soon, the sounds of rushing water could be heard.

When the two appeared by the beautiful stream, Fluffers stuck her nose in, only to be gently grabbed and pulled back by Evorsor. “It’ll take you in if you’re not careful... We won’t drink here.” He whispered, his muscles rippling as he lifted Fluffers with his jaws, leaping gracefully over the stream and landing on the other side. “I’m thirsty though.” She whined, looking back at the swirling water as Evorsor guided her away and back into the forest.

When the ground turned mossy, Evorsor’s sides rumbled as he purred, pushing Fluffers up ahead of him so she could see. The trees parted, revealing a grassy clearing that shined as the sun went down. A few flowers grew here and there in patches. Red, orange and yellow. Green, blue and purple. A medium sized lake laid to the side, Lilly pads in the water, fish swimming inside. The clearing was stunning at this time of day and had the corgi merely standing there, admiring the scene in front of her. The black beast went to stand by her side, towering beside her as his purrs settled. “I thought you would like it.” He eventually spoke, alerting a few birds that went shrieking into the sky at the sight of him. “I do...” She whispered. “Thank you.”
