DND Session 2-10

Our adventureers find themselves among the mist, red mist like before
It is not driving them insane
The keeper shows up from the corner of the fog, she is much much older, ancient even
Blue skin has gone to grayer blue, horns are longer and grayer compared to black, and hunched over with a cane
One more trial
After this trial you will never return here, but dont forget what you've seen
It is as if the floor is the fog itself, standing on glass, everything around looks like the fog
Allistor lights a fuse and throws it off to the fog, upper left
Aegas lights a torch and puts it in his shield
the fuse doesnt do much, fog doesnt even react the same
Tano and Allistor notice just beyond where teh light hits, a shapeless mound, 3 in total stretch out before us, faces try and reach out from the mound (I personally think of them as like the souls stuck in Envy from FMAB but without Envy or her lizard like form, just the souls) Its made of fog too
Hushed whispers, wails of whatever is in them, they start lurching towards the party
ROLL FOR INITIATIVE
(Lesedi, Aegas, Kaslyn in front, Tano then Allistor in mid, Daria and Hissy in the back)
Allistor readys his dynamite
Enemy got within 20 feet and Allistor throws his dynamite
Enemy is not blocking
Only takes 5 bashing damage
Other two monsters move forward as well, they are very very slow
The whispers are louder but still cant tell what they are saying
Feminine, masculine, children voices
Kaslin rolls a sense motive and gets the hint that these things arent trying to escape the masses, and they want the party to join it
Kas also draws his weapon
Kas also warns the group to not touch the masses and asks Daria if they know what it could be
Aegas challenges the front guy "Hey you! I dont like your face-es, faces! I dont like it!" "KILL IT WITH FIRE"
Then pulls out his blunderbuss and shoots main guy for 5 points of damage (10 total)
Swaps for sword and gets in defensive position
Daria can also not hear anything from the voices
Knowledge roll gets high enough and Daria knows its a shadow, type of undead, its as if its stealing souls
Its weak to certain kinds of magic, anything that is positve energy, magical weapons would hurt more
Light can affect it
Partially immune to non-magical items
Daria tells everyone the info
Daria summons an elemental, low level fire elemental over by the front guy
It hits the main guy and burns it!
Tano hears cold and calculating voice telling them to come and join them and be free and be one with the fog and darkness and free their mind of mortal pain and relish in eternity in the darkness
Hears something and recognize the voice of the drow girl from out front, Xaryn in the mass
(This means that the tower on the island we landed on had time set BEFORE she joined the mass, so timey wimey bullshit)
(If Aegas hadnt done what he did, there would be another familiar voice in there)
Tano shoots a fireball at the middle/main guy and gets him for 11 damage
Allistor throws dynamite and gets 27??? 17 bashing
The first one is starting to fall apart and float away from itself, but its still there (Its taken ALOT of damage)
The flame elemental dies to one of the guys :(
All 3 move foward and are next to the party
Kas uses Bravo smite on the guy in front of him
Kas swings his sword
It takes 11 points of damage
Kaslin is now a big Lizardfolk
Aegas goes to hit the monster in front of him with his sword
The main guy is very pissy
(The DM forgot about Lesedi) XD
Daria summons a fire beetle behind all the things, and attempts to bite the main guy
And it misses its mark *sad beetle noises*
Tano steadies herself on Aegas, so as not to hit him, and misses the main guy
Lesedi gets 2 turns since the DM forgot about her!
Lesedi attacks the one in front of her and does her rage attack twice
Allistor shoots at the middle main guy- and the bullet rips through it and it scatters like fog
Enemy attacks and takes 4 STRENGTH damage????? So she basically looses her +4 bonus
Enemy goes after Kas and misses
Kas uses his bravo smite and kills it
He cleaves it in two and it explodes into shards of light
Aegas looks at the last remaining monster and says FUCK YOU, moves up, uses his challenge ability and shankanates it
And it takes ALOT of damage
Daria does ray of frost at the enemy
Daria's beetle then nibbles at the enemy and it hits
And the beetle kills the last monster
The beetles name is Jeff btw
ALL OF THEM ARE DEAD
WE WIN
The fog around everyone starts to dissipate and light begins to emanate from the dark edge of the fog
A way out has appeared before you
Everyone leaves
As they go through, they are blinded by peircing sunlight, and we are back on the beach of the island????
The party turns to the left and the tiefling lady is there, ancient looking
Well you made it, congrats, theres your boat, you can return from whence you came
Aegas asks about Xaryn, and Tano tells everyone the news about where she ended up
She had gone in after us, days later, and failed
Each and everyone of you has been marked and we shall have to see what goes on
Kas asks about the souls being stuck there or going to their goddess, and killing the creatures have released them
She mentions they need to head back to their ship, you wouldnt want to be late for meeting Tano
The Tiefling leaves towards the tower
Everynone gets on the tiny boat and fucks off
Tyr starts waking up!
Allistor is hugging Tyr like a child with a cat
Tyr is put back in the saddlebag and Kaslin gets in the other saddlebag
They leave in the boat
As they leave the sky begins to change and night begins to show and the ship comes into distance
Tano, Kas, Aegas, Allistor sees something
Allistor and Tano doesnt know what it is
Kas sees a small boat the way they just came
Aegas sees Daria, Allistor, and Lesedi rowing towards the island as they disapear the island is gone
