Cloudscape

I take a deep breath and stretch my wings. My two full feathered sets of wings sprayed out with a shine from the golden feathers under the top layer of glistening snow white feathers. I close my eyes and take another deep breath, beginning to flap my wings. The leaves around me rustled and I leaped up as a start into the sky. With every flap of my wings, I grew closer to Dreamhaven and the white fluffy clouds that blocked the sun now and then. Deciding to play, I took a spin, then a roll through the clouds. My smile was wide with the sun shining against my back, causing my fur to shine. Taking a flight throughout the cloudscape always cleared my mind, and settled my heart. I look below and the site is breathtaking, everything looks so small from up high in the clouds. I look up at clouds above me and thrust myself through them, breaking my way through the fluffy clouds, and I get a good look at the sun. It would set in an hour or so, still high enough to paint the sky blue. I take some time relaxing in flight through the clouds, nothing to see but white fluffiness, the sun, and the blue sky. Every now and then I passed by another Jollybean, or a Midveiler on a flying mount taking a flight through the sky. They take time to relax with a flight through the sky like me, or they fly with a friend on an adventure to see the world in a different way. Despite your reason for flying through the cloudscape, training or relaxing, it always provides a breathtaking sight. You can rest on clouds that have enough weight to them if your wings are tired, and sometimes you can chat on a cloud with another Jollybean who thought to rest. Sometimes you can make a friend in the cloudscape, I have made a few myself. Although I have rarely started my flights with another, I seem to cross paths and fly with a new face now and then. Some have complimented me on my fur and feathers, regarding the shimmer to them. Others have told me stories about things they’ve done, speaking stories to not just me but the clouds as well. As the sun sets, the sky is painted with vibrant and warm colors, which you bathe in with a warm glow. You can reach out to the warmly painted clouds and swipe a paw through them, and relax in the glow of the setting sun. The sun setting is a relaxing sight, the end of another day but the start for creatures who live in the night. My bauble glows, a white light emitting from the christmas light held at the end of my tail along with the one against my belly. They grow brighter as the sky gets darker, a light through the dark that slowly engulfs the sky. The moon brightly shines as does my bauble, giving moonlight to pass through the clouds and onto the world below. I have been resting on the same cloud for some time, the friend I talked to long gone. I spread my wings yet again, this time with moonlight hitting the feathers and the white light of my bauble against my fur and feathers. I shine, the light reflecting from my white pelt, and I think of myself as a small moon in the sky. My smile widens, knowing I occasionally come across another Jollybean who enjoys being in the night sky just as I do. I made a special friend named Icarus, who emits light by his never ending candle bauble that takes up a portion of his body. He shines a light purple in the sky. I don’t see him every night, but the nights I do, we chat endlessly in the calm noises of the night. At times I pass by a Jollybean or two sleeping on a cloud together. The clouds hold our light bodies up with ease, a cushion in the sky that we can burst through or rest upon. It’s been a couple days since I’ve seen Icarus, and tonight I plan to find him. I search through the moonlit sky, and swipe my paws through clouds every now and then. Flying always clears my mind, and is always breathtaking. It could never bore me, and Icarus thinks the same. I look forward to finding him and hearing his stories, and telling him mine, as we fly through the clouds together.
