What event might cause your character to reconsider their life choices?

"Pardon?" Ramsys seems both insulted and confused, and he flicks his hand dismissively, "Unless the apocalypse happened and I could have prevented it, nothing would tempt me to reconsider anything I've ever done. I'm not so weak as to consider myself perfect, of course not. I am as flawed as any other person. But my choices have made me who I am today. To reconsider them would be to doubt myself, and that is something I simply refuse to do. Self doubt shakes your resolve and your strength. If my choices were wrong, I will acknowledge it, do what I can to repair any damage done, and move on with my life."
