Oof, I have not written anything in a while

Mirai was not sure what to expect of Novis, sure he’s heard stories and seen pictures, but compared to seeing it in person, they don’t do it justice. In awe of the planet’s beauty, he starts looking for the magic crystals he set out to get.

One thing confused him though, and that was the lack of Kitbulls. Novis just seemed to…. quiet in this regard, it made the area feel a bit empty. He gathered that he would see them later as he explored.

--------------------------------------------

After a few hours of searching he finally managed to find a crystal he was after, one that could contain a lot of energy for its size and luckily for Mirai, it was already charged.

While he was too busy sorting the crystals he was completely unaware of the creature that crept up on him. A small noise alerted Mirai to the creature behind him, causing him to turn around, alert and ready for a fight only to see a dark coloured Kitbull.

Mirai took in its appearance noting that its’ coat was dull and matted and that it seemed lethargic, almost like it was…

‘’Magic starved.” He whispered to himself.

A pang of sympathy ran through him as he looked at the poor creature, he knew that it need some energy and fast. A thought ran through him, that this Kitbull reminded him of his younger self, before his mentor took him in (and the mess that followed it).

Unfortunately, he had not brought any items with him that he could give to the Kitbull, the only thing he had was the crystals in his hands, Despite how much he needed the crystals, so did the Kitbull and he couldn’t leave it, he wouldn’t forgive himself.

He crouched down in front of the Kitbull watching him, and tentatively held out his hand, showing the crystals with. The Kitbull just watched him, which unnerved Mirai as he felt like it was staring right through him.

Eventually the Kitbull approached and swiped the crystals, absorbing their energy before looking back up at him with what looked like appreciation in its eyes, at least he hoped so. Mirai noticed that its coat had seemed to improve slightly, which gave him hope that it would recover soon as long as it got more energy.

He still worried about the Kitbull’s condition, about what had caused it in the first place and where the others were.

‘Were they hiding? If so from what and is it still a threat?’

Concern rushed through him as he decided he’s stay until it recovered and hopefully find the cause.

“Would you like to come with me so we can get some more for you?” He asked as he stood slowly to make sure he didn’t spook it.

The Kitbull looked up at him before suddenly leaping into his arms. Startled, Mirai’s arms shot out to ensure he caught it and as he did he stumbled back slightly, almost falling over, as the Kitbull collided with him.

With the creature safely in his arms he started to look for more crystals.
