Gravity fell to her knees, her eyes wide open with pupils full of shock and tears threatening to form. The crushed body was buried in the rubble and there was oh, so much blood everywhere.

The girl couldn't hear a thing; she couldn't hear the sirens of the ambulance or the people yelling at her, or the dead person's family screaming at her. She can just barely make the footsteps of the pharmacy people taking away the body- and the world was a blur.

Except the sack that the body was in. It was so black.

She felt sick. If only she would've been faster, if only she raised her arms seconds faster she could've stopped it- she could've save them. She closed her eyes, her brows furrowed and clenching her teeth, grasping her hair tightly to try and block out all the voices. There was just too much noise. The static wouldn't stop inside her head. With no answers from Gravity to the people's screaming and pleading, the voices got louder and they kept yelling at her and she couldn't focus-

But then suddenly they stopped

And she opened her eyes, unclenching her teeth and let go of her now ruined bun. She wasn't in the middle of attention at the wreck of a death scene, she was in a void pure of white. She quickly stood up and studied her surroundings, but there was nothing to study. It was all just white.

Well, except the figure standing far away.

She squinted her eyes and stood in a defensive stance, ready to beat whoever brought her here, but she quickly took that thought back when she saw her mentor standing and seemingly waiting for her to approach.

Quickly her tears came back and she ran toward him, practically jumping and crumbling in his supporting arms. Just like how the body did. Just like when she couldn't-- "O-oh my God S-Stepehn I- I couldn't save them.. Oh God, I let some- I let someone d-die.." she sobbed between deep breaths, and in return he rubbed circles on her back and hushing her. "Gav, it's okay-" "NO it's NOT okay, Stephen!" she interrupted him with a yell, "I just- I couldn't.. I was supposed to be faster!" she yelled at herself and then mumbled, "I could've been faster..." and stephen frowned. "Alright then, it's not okay." "Wow.. S-soo supportive of y-you..." she mumbled under her breath, and Stephen nodded. "You're right, then how about I say what I think?"

Gravity thought for a few moments, and decided to just nod while she slowed down her breath. "Gav, you can't save everyone." "B-but--" "no buts, gravity. Let me talk." Stephen took a deep breath. He's not that good at comforting others. Hell he's not even good at comforting himself. But gravity needed him right now, and she needed someone to make sense of what happened. He thought about his next words carefully; "It's not your fault they died. You not reacting fast enough doesn't mean you failed. In fact, you were impressive this time around with the numbers of unharmed citizens." not the best wording, but he tried. Gravity didn't want to believe what he said.

Seeing his oh so helpful words of advice didn't help, he looked down. Thinking about the past hurt. "You think I didn't let anyone die in my life?"

It was almost a desperate whisper and Gravitys eyes widened. She knew how personal this topic is for Stephen; he never talked about his past with her, so him telling her now is really shocking. She leaned back from the hug and stared at Stephen, whos comforting blue eyes calmed her if only just a bit. "You can't save everyone, Gravity. What you can do is aim to save the most people you can. If it means all of them, or even one, you have to do your best." Gravitys lips pouted and she looked down, "but I can't just... Get over it. I can't, Stephen. The sound of the bones crashing and the people yelling I- I can't." but then Stephen pulled her back to the hug, holding her shoulder with his arm. "I understand, gravity. But can you hear it now?" Gravity listened carefully. There were no sounds except her now slow breathing, and Stephen's. She shook her head.

A question suddenly came to her head, and Stephen answered as if he could read her mind; "We are in the mirror dimension, gravity. No one can reach us here unless I bring them in. We can stay here, and then I'll deal with the questions. Then if you want, we will go back to New York and you can tell me about that new book you 'borrowed' from Wong." He smiled a bit, looking at the void around them. She nodded, smiling a tad bit, and when she tightened the hug, she could feel a slight tight hug back.
