Empire of Dragons season 1, episode 1-8 (WIP)

VAMPIRE NEGOTIATIONS

A woman goes to Karrucci manor for help, but the praetorians stop her. It’s the Vampyre woman, holding the ribbon and broach. She cries to see Aaron.

Instead, Seraphina greets her. She tells her that she conspired against dragons. The vampyre’s mouth quivers, and she trembles. She steps forward and asks Seraphina for forgiveness. She hugs Seraphina, but Sera doesn’t return it. Seraphina tells her that “we gave you everything and you repay us by helping our enemies. You paid the price by having our soul returned to us.“ the Vampyre falls to her knees at Seraphina. Sera asks, “need you pay more?”

the Vampyre panicks, looks up and falls back, “No! No!”

Sera says good, and tells her to summon the rest of her clan for reassessment.

Julia is being wheeled by Nikki when Nikki notices everything happening. She recognizes the woman, and quickly wheels Julia to the gardens. Nikki says the vampires are coming. Julia is shocked and says they shouldnt be in the presence of vampires.

Nikki pulls her out the chair and they hide in a bush as vampires are summoned at a gazebo (one made specifically for accepting supernatural summons). They gawk at the beautiful vampires, but notice something is off. They all look sad.

Seraphina meets them, and Rico is with her. The vampires panic immediately. One of them says ”it’s the executioner.” Another says “we’re done for.”

Seraphina says, “Vampyres of the Ancient Order of Kludue, I order your execution for committing terrorism against dragons—“ Rico steps forward and sone of the Vampyres plead. Seraphina continues, “colluding with the enemy of dragons, and taking the lives of dragons with power that was given to you by us dragons. May your souls be at rest.” Rico uses his dragon body to rip and tear into them. We dont see it, but we see Seraphina watching.

Nikki and Julia gasp and cry.

Seraphina looks back and sees her daughters. She sighs.

Inside, she pours tea for both of them and sits between them. She hugs them both with her arms, patting their heads.

”They killed your brother,“ she said.

The girls are shocked.

The next day it is announced that Giovanni Karrucci is dead. Seraphina gave a short, pre recorded speech. In it, she mentioned it was pre recorded and that she cannot make a speech live, because she’ll never get the words out in time.

Seraphina sits at a gazebo in the garden, dressed in black and holding yellow roses. Gregory, her butler, is at her side. She looks at the roses and mutters, “my son.”

She remembers a time when the palace was on fire. Gregory was tiny, small blonde boy. He ran to her and begged to be picked up. She hurriedly picked him up and put him in the wagon with his other brother and sisters. She was running down a large room in the palace, avoiding flaming rocks that were being thrown. She looks around and sees the guards fighting with swords and shield against masked attackers.

Seraphina wakes up from the memory when Gregory puts his arm on her shoulder. She sighs.
