Aselph Canon, brown hair, brown eyes, boringly normal, a little gloomy even. Mother, Irish. Father, Latvian. His life was rocky at the start. His mother died shortly after giving birth, and his father only stared coldly at him from across the room. His father had a piercing gaze with glaring golden irises. His hair was the color of spun gold, woven from the spools of Rumpelstiltskin. To see a son that looked nothing like him… To him, Selph wasn’t a son at all.

But it’s not as though he could be taken into a new family, Aselph was forced to stay under his father. His cold, uncaring father. Such were the restrictions of familial ties. Because of this, he was silent for most of his childhood. He didn’t even bother to make any friends either. The memory of his father’s cold glare rang in his head every time he tried to make a friend. It was like an unshakable curse.

"You aren't worthy."

He had so much to say, yet no one to say it to. At nights, he would always look at the stars and ask, “Why me? Why does it have to be me?” Miserably, he continued to suffer in an invisible closed box.

Fast forward to middle school. Everyone had their cliques, and for the most part, Aselph was alone. Everyone was having fun, everyone was having the time of their life. Everyone except Aselph. There was no one he could rely on other than himself an- Woah. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone who looked gloomier than he. And that was a bit of a shock. A boy with purple hair and lilac tips with glasses too big for him practically falling off his face. It was a very silly look. “Maybe he was someone like me,” Aselph thought. They passed by each other numerous times, and rumors were that the silly boy was gay. No wonder he was so gloomy. Gathering enough courage (which he built up over weeks), Aselph began to speak to the gloomy boy.

Never in a million years did he expect that it would be so fun to talk to someone. To be able to pour out everything in your mind was amazing. It was awesome. Once he started, he couldn't stop. The feeling of it was almost indescribable, in a good way. They became the best of friends, and Aselph began to become more of an outgoing person. Though he couldn't say the same for the other boy. Soon enough, he knew everyone from everywhere, and everyone became his friend. He would never forget the person that prompted it all. He holds his work close to his chest. Literally. The chain necklace was received from his best friend, a jeweler.

Maybe it was the strong desire to pour out his thoughts and escape his restraints, but Aselph put the effort into knowing everyone and doing everything. He memorized everybody’s birthdays and did things that would make him likable. But the few people in the school weren't enough to sate his bottomless desire to be known and to speak out and for people to talk to him. He wanted to be known, not just by his community, but by everyone. And stars were known by everyone, right? Which is why he auditioned to be in the action movies that everyone watched. It was like a miracle when he got cast into the role. He did devilish stunts on screen, doing the best he could in order to gather attention to himself. His daredevil acts ranged from parachuting out of planes to bungee jumping off of cliffs.

But he wanted to be even more well-known, even more dangerous. So...he became a bomber! But not a terrorist. From a gloomy guy to a stuntman to a bomber, what a development! He consulted a prop artist during one of his rehearsals and learned how to make a bomb from them. It was easier than he had thought. The hardest thing to do was activate it. In the heart of the school, the principal’s office, Aselph installed this bomb in his senior year. The repercussions were worse than he had thought. The principal and several students were injured as a result. It was a good thing that no one knew that Aselph was the culprit, right? Yet he told his best friend in a panic and he agreed to keep it a secret. This was the first time that he ever had to keep a secret that pertained to himself. He was an open person and keeping it to himself was harder than he thought.

To this day, he is keeping this secret to himself in the back of his head. Actually, he almost forgot about it once or twice. Oops. The focus right now is just to enjoy life as it is. He finds pride in doing his shows and even worked as an acrobat and trapeze artist in a circus once. As long as he could use his physical prowess to have fun, then he would be happy. It’s not like anyone was going to find out that he made a school explode, so there was no reason to be guilty at all! Aselph is a very carefree and joyous person right now, and that isn’t likely to change any time soon.
