Featuring Havoc 821

Rotating Duty #5

The Tsotska live in harmony with dragons—including non-elemental dragons! These wild dragons take on all shapes and sizes and can be found throughout nature. From the huge dragon residing in the volcano to the smallest dragons that guard flower patches, each one has a price for its peace. Show your character offering a tribute to one of these wild dragons. This duty takes place on Tsotska d’la Mer.

Havoc had, after that last incident, put his foot down about going to Tsotska d'la Mer, the fact that Meiron had deliberately placed himself in danger, his hands in the jaws of a non elemental dragon; little white things that threw snow at him, he could stand, a tiny fae dragon that plaited his fur, it was bearable, fighting a dragon that would be at home amongst the earth dragons of the cenote, well... he was definitely more satisfied than that. The black serpent in the shadows.. no. He huffed, narrowing his eyes as Meiron moved about, he'd had almost a week of just lazing in the cenote, now though... the feline was deliberately gathering a selection of items. "Haven't we done more than out fair share." Havoc hissed, the cats ears twitched. "Maybe." was all the response he got. "But the non elemental dragons seem unusually upset, according to the Coalition, seems there was an incursion on the island from the Militia some time back and it unsettled them." Meiron commented, looping the bag over Havoc before giving himself a shake, dislodging the snow which had settled on him. Tempted though Havoc was to take off..... the shift was perfectly capable of flying to the island without Havoc's assistance.... So grumbling he surged into the air, powerful wings surging through the snowstorm that was blowing gently.

Far too quickly the volcanic peak of the island began to appear over the horizon, the crashing waves breaking over the steep cliffs, Havoc relaxed only when Meiron directed him away from the route to the 'open cave' of the dark wyrm; following the cliffs for several miles, until a single break in the rocks broke up the edges, a small river of water falling from its mouth into the vast sea below; the gentle snow which had been over the cenote had shifted to hail as Havoc angled his wings to follow the river upstream. Though the river continued to flow, parts had frozen, mini patches of ice swimming downstream as the land around was white, the snow hiding what little greenery grew. "There." Merion said, his breath white in the frigind cold. Havoc caught the glint of something moving in a pool of blue, nearing it he spotted the large iridescent wyrm as it swum through the lake, even from this height the drake could tell it was agitated about something.... "Land Havoc, now!" Havoc jumped, startled from the order... Meiron very rarely gave true orders, and he dropped landing far more quickly than he would normally given the situation.

Meiron had sensed Havoc about to turn, and while he didn't like ordering the dragons, he had sensed the urgency in the summons from the Coalition, he barely waited until Havoc was on the snow covered ground before dismounting, his sharp gave on the small patch of land in the center, green and abundant in life, and a single stone pillar that speared the sky. Around it the ice crept closer, broken shards of ice, the sign of the aquatic wyrms endless task. As if sensing them, the wyrm turned in their direction, its fins drooped and though its scales shimmered with iridescence, they were dull, and scratched. It emitted a mournful wail, before crashing through the ice nearest it. "Can you stop the ice forming for a moment?" Meiron asked Havoc mentally. The dragon took in the scene, before nodding. His talons flexed as a faint glow covered not only him, but the ice as well... for a single moment things froze, before the ice shattered... the lake clear of the encroaching ice, if only for a stolen bit of time.

The wyrm swum their way, large eyes blinking is it slipped out of the waters, it crooned at Havoc in gratitude even as Meiron brought it some food, before applying some salve to the damaged hide; it would rest for a few moments, for helping it in its endless task was a sign of respect for the ancient non elemental dragon.
