Prompt: Friends

Dejen's friends are many. He loves talking to anyone willing to have a conversation, especially if they have a unique viewpoint to lend him. Locals in a strange land are his favorite subjects, and he doesn't mind playing the foolish traveler in order to bring their guard down and their mouths talking. He enjoys it, but it's also important. Dejen can glean important insider knowledge this way, which can be vital to his work. He has taken countless selfies with strangers turned friends. He uses an instant print camera so his new friends can have a keepsake. Aside from fleeting friends, Dejen also forges deeper bonds with those he hangs around more often. His co-workers are his most important allies and friends. They often joke around with each other, sometimes to the extent of playing lighthearted pranks. It is impossible to say how many nights Dejen has spent in a tavern with his friends. The tight-knit group also confide in each other. Dejen holds many of his friend's secrets as closely as he hopes they hold his. And last but certainly not least, Dejen's family is his greatest treasure. Well, they are not his friends, his wife and son mean far more to him than that. Dejen cherishes every moment he can get with them. His friend group is in absolute understanding of this. When they're not on the job, they know not to bother him while he spends time with family. After all, many of them have family to visit themselves. Dejen has so many friends and family to spend time with, he never spends a moment alone.
