Adjusting his grip on a bouquet of flowers, Samsara took in a soft breath, trying to calm his nerves.

Three hours ago, Vulpes and Solstice had waltzed right into his room and started to fuss over him. Needless to say, Samsara was confused and frozen. He was in a daze as the two dressed him up. He only snapped out when Solstice was shoving him out of the house with a rather thick envelope.

“Sol, what am I supposed to do with this?” He asked as she pushed him out, shoving a set of keys as well.

“Vega is performing today. He gave you a ticket. It starts at 7.p.m. The ticket is in the envelope. There’s money in it for you to go get your boyfriend a bouquet of flowers. Preferably a dozen red roses.”

Samsara sputtered. “He-he’s not my boyfriend.”

Solstice only rolled her eyes. “Then your crush or something. Now shoo!”

With a hard shove, she managed to get him out the door and slammed the door in his face. He was speechless. Looking at the keys she shoved into his hand, he realized that it was the keys to his car. Shrugging, he drove to the florist a few streets down to get a bouquet of flowers. Browsing their selections, a short memory resurfaced. It was a short conversation with Vulpes.

“Did you know the language of flowers?” She asked.

“I heard of it, never memorized most of it.” He shrugged offhandedly. “Didn’t see a need to.”

She chuckled. “It’s interesting.”

He just hummed in agreement before leaving. He later found himself only searching up the meaning of flowers.

Chuckling at the memory, he entered the store and looked around for a moment. Forgoing the prepared bouquet, he decided to make his own. Instantly, his eyes landed on two distinct flowers, forget-me-nots and white lilies. He continued to look around before he decided to finish the bouquet with a dozen roses, six red roses and six white roses, and a pretty white bow tying the bouquet together. For a finishing touch, he attached a small and simple white card. On it, ‘for my shining star’ was written beautifully in cursive. Satisfied with the flowers, he headed toward the concert venue.

Once the concert ended, he jogged to the entrance that gave access to backstage and was currently making his way to the dressing room. Once he arrived at the door, he took another deep breath and gently rapped his knuckles against the door. A soft voice answered him and he twisted the knob of the door, entering the unlocked room. Samsara smiled at the surprised expression Vega was wearing.

“Hi,” he gave Vega one of his winning smiles.

“You came.”

“I did,” he shifted a bit. “This is for you.” Samsara presented the bouquet to him.

Samsara noticed the blush that colored Vega’s face before he turned away to hide it.

“Thank you...” He mumbled slightly, burying his face into the flowers.

“You’re welcome.” He gave Vega another smile. “Are you free now?”

“I supposed.”

“Great, let’s grab dinner, my treat. I’ll be waiting outside for you.”

Without waiting for a reply, Samsara went to wait in the car. Once he sat at the driver’s seat, he finally allowed his blush to show. ‘I hope I wasn’t too forward.’ He thought. Unbeknownst to him, Vega had just seen the card attached to the bouquet and his face was so red, it took 15 minutes for his face to return to normal.
