Bones had a variety of thoughts, none passing through gently, every thought was a repetitive thump that echoed in their scattered head.  get away, get away, danger bad, there's danger, get away. Those thoughts played like a mantra in their head, they couldn't tell if the booming came from their thumping heart or their thumping mind. All they knew is that they were running over rocks and rubble. Small rocks stuck to their hands and feet, and larger rocks made them tumble for a blurred moment or scratch them briefly. They didn't care, nor could they.  Their wings flapped desperately for flight but all that came was cold air whipping against their back. Their wings tattered, which wasn't permanent. It would heal, but that small safety their wings gave for quick escapes was temporarily gone. Which all made the fight or flight kick in stronger. Their feral instincts were in over drive, and the same, Thump... Thump.. Thump. Could be heard echoing through their scattered mind.
