First time we met

The noises of the halls echoed of laughter and screaming.  The hallway was busy with people running this way and that to the next panel to start.

I was walking down the hall with my best friend, Ayoshi.  They were smaller and fluffier than what I was.  They had a long tail with fluff at the end of it and their colors were this pale blue with cat-like darker markings on them.  Their horns were small but the seemed to glow with the blue to the white at the top of it.  His eyes were different colored, his left being red and his right a bright blue.

They were wearing a white and. Blue shirt jacket with a red and white cap with a green symbol on the top of it.  They had placed markings underneath their eyes in the shape of a Z.  He just placed on this outfit cause he had it and didn't feel like day 1 he shouldn't go all out.

Me on the other hand, I am a lot taller and had a few more muscles than Ayoshi.  My body is usually white with pink cow print.  But today I used body dye to dry it pale-ish green.  My shaved head was no longer and was spiked up to look like white flames.  I added a small white beard to my chin.  My outfit was a black and white jumpsuit with a white cap flowing down from my back.  The middle of my chest was a stylized D.  My eyes that had once been a light blue on my right side and a light purple on the left are now a bright green.

I kept having pictures taken and once in a while Ayoshi got a picture with a pikachu or a random passerby who needed a picture of Ash Ketchum for a prompt on a quest of theirs.

It was about time to meet up with some from our chat so we headed down the convention floor and down the stairs to the next floor.  We waited around for a bit.  People kept passing by, again with wanting pictures every so often.

I kept looking down at my phone to see when the person would arrive.  It would be the first time we met up in real life since meeting online.

A few minutes later and someone hopped over to us.  It was a kangaroo that was mostly a light reddish brown with dark markings covering them.  They wore a Military hat with a camo vest.  They had headphones around their neck and he looked up to me with his light brown eyes.  His brown, short hair parted part of his face perfectly.

My heart skipped a beat and I could swear under the paint on my face I was blushing, but it was hard to see it.

"Ah you must be Koshi."  Ayoshi smiled at them.

I was silent but smiled happily.

"I am and you guys must be Ayoshi and Higata."  He smiled and he looked back at me.  "Thank you guys for inviting me to this convention.  So far it seems like fun."

I nod my head silently.

"Yep that would be us."

"So Ayoshi, you're cosplaying as Ash and then…" he stared at me.  "Dark Danny I presume?" He laughed a little.  "Looks good on you."  He smiled more.

I smiled back and nodded once again. "S-should we head to the convention space?"

"Let's a go."  He said in a mario type of voice.

I started to laugh a bit and we all headed to it.

We walked around the different booths, took more pictures with other passerby people as we continued.

After a good couple hours, we headed up stairs again and found a small place over by some vending machines.

"This seems like a good spot." And I plopped down onto the ground and took off the wig for a bit to let my head rest some.

"Ah, so that was a wig."  He laughed.  "Sorry it seemed very natural on you."

I looked at him and then laughed.  "Yeah, and then this is also fake."  I pointed to the small beard on my face.  "But obviously I'm not taking it off just yet, cause I still wanna walk around a bit with the costume still in tack."  I laughed a little.  "Yeah, I love to cosplay quite a bit.  This character here just seems to be like a comfort cosplay.  Even the show itself is also my comfort one." 

"Ah cool."  He smiled once again.

I continued to blush underneath the paint.

From here we went on to talk about a lot of other things from anime to video games to shows we love watching.

The weekend went by so fast as well.

Day 2 my friend Ayoshi dressed up as a Shadow Lugia.  They made wings that attach to their arms and a tail that wraps around their actual tail.  They also made attachable long horns on top of their other horns.  Their body was in a purple body dye.

I decided to go as Dark Danny once again.  And Koshi kept with what he did the day before.

And finally on day 3, Ayoshi went as Shadow lugia again and me as regular Danny, no body pain this time.  And the hair was spiked down and to the side.  I wore a different black and white jumpsuit with a different style D.  And Koshi stayed the same once again. 

The time we spent that weekend was amazing.  It flew by too quickly, we continued to talk thru social media and then the meetups we all went to.

And before I knew it, it was after Christmas, I was hanging out with my friends that day.  When I got a text from Koshi.  What it said was:

K:  Say, it's kind of hard for me to ask this, but, do you want to be together?  Like as in boyfriends?  I understand if not.  I kind of liked you for a long while.

I stared at it for a good second and dropped it in my lap.  I placed my hands to my face and Ayoshi who was sitting next to me looked to me.

"Hey, everything's okay?"  He tilted his head.

I just nod slightly and a blush was forming on my face.

He then proceeded to grab my phone to read the message.  And he looked towards me.

"Dude, did he just?"

I just nodded with my face being covered.  Then my friend in the front grabbed my phone then screeched making our driver almost crash.

The friend who grabbed my phone was Hoshi, he was a black and white looking Zigzah with blue highlights.  His tail split at the end.  He had a yellow horn that curved at the end on the side of his head.

And the friend who was driving was Lio, he was a pinkish color with his ears drooping down to the side.  He had two different colored inside ears and small horns to match the sides.  The right side was a light green and the left side was pink.  He had blond short-ish hair parted to the side.

"You almost made me crash, why'd you scream like that?"  Lio slightly growled but was super interested as to why.

"Higata got asked out by someone!"

And with that, I knew my face was bright red.

"What do I say to them?"

Hoshi stared at me.  "Say yes to him right now!"

Ayoshi looked at me.  "Honestly it's up to you.  But if you are unsure, tell him you'll give him an answer later."  He smiled at me.

I nodded.  "Thanks guys."  Hoshi handed me back my phone and I stared at it for a good few seconds.  I sighed and wrote back.

H: I'm not too sure on an answer yet, think you can wait till I'm ready too?

And instantly he was writing back.

K:  I understand, take your time.  ^^

I sighed and went back into my seat.  Unsure how to actually really feel towards this.  I'm both happy and surprised he liked me back.  I really wanted to say yes, but I wanted to make sure this was for sure, for sure.

The day ended along with a week had passed just about.  And it was New Years eve.

I looked back to my phone and grabbed it.  I decided at midnight to tell him.  To start off the new year a good one.

I wrote down my text to him.

The countdown started and new years hit.  Me and my family screamed happy new year and I sent the text off.

We did our cheers and I told them that I said I wanted to be with Koshi.  They accepted it and I was excited for our first date in the coming months.

We're now happily together and excited for more to come.  <3
