Hatching story & Species description

You take the fuzzy egg into your hands, feeling the warmth emanate from it. As you hold it close to yourself, you feel the hatchling inside move about a little, it seems to be a fierce little friend. You toss the coin to the dragon as you make your way out of the cavern, walking on homewards feeling safe and secure with this egg in your hands. You feel almost as if there's some sort of bond with you and this little dragon.

At least, that was the first half of the journey, as in the second half the egg suddenly began cracking open, and before you knew it your face got attacked by a small hatchling that quickly leapt out of your arms and zoomed around on the ground. It was chasing what seemed to be a small spider that got close to your shoe, batting it away and eventually sitting down in front of you proudly.
