Loyalties

Silence draped over the barren landscape that laid out before two figures. Neither spoke and both seemed to hold their heads low, something clearly bothering the pair. After continuing their walk for sometime the smaller of the two finally stopped.

"Odon..." her voice was soft and laced with sorrow.

"I wasn't there..." the gruff male's voice pierced the air as though tailblades were piecing the hide of an enemy.

"It isn't your fault-" the female started before being quickly cut off.

"Trise I wasn't there! I could have protected her... or done SOMETHING other than sitting on my sorry ass." irritation was apparent in his voice but there was a linger of something else, sadness.

Silent filled the void once more, the two standing deathly still in the open greyscale lands. The two, siblings, had lost their mother.    WIP
