This is just the premise. I want to develop this story further so please bear with me.

Simo was a shallow and egotistical thistle Plottie that once challenged the gods. Vain and unkind, he often bragged that he was their most beautiful creation. He lived his life carelessly, constantly wronging others, taking risks and disregarding everyone's safety, claiming that he was too perfect for the gods to ever allow any danger or suffering to come upon him.

Simo decided it was time to "bless" the world with his progeny and that year during Babuiida, despite disrespecting all of the rituals, he made his way to Omumu's shrine and arrogantly demanded the goddess blessed him and his intentions.

The Goddess, who was particularly close to the mortal world that day due to the festivities in her honor, and being the forgiving and loving deity she was, decided it was simply best to ignore Simo's petition and let him leave. Juaraw on the other hand, who had grown tired of Simo's self-indulgence and continued insolence, decided ignoring him wasn't enough and instead decided to take matters into her own hands.

The indignant Sun goddess banished the thistle to the wastelands, unraveling his beautiful body and cursing him with infertility and drought, renaming him Simoom.

She swore he would never find peace again and would be doomed to wander around the plains as a tumbleweed. As the final part of his punishment, he was ordered to help other seeds and bulbs in the dessert grow despite not being able to bear any himself.
