If it's my fanfiction for something else I can co-opt it for my own characters with a few changes here and there. Pure fluff, with a bit of suspense.

Her breath ragged, she needed to rest. She’d gained some distance between whatever was following her, she just needed to find a spot to take refuge. The dark roots and reaching branches of the forest made for good cover but she needed more. She sunk low against a tree to scope her surroundings, the thick fog making that all the more hard. She could hear the stomping nearing her when she laid eyes on a hollow inside the base of a tree. She crawled into the roots and dropped down holding her breath. She could hear her pursuer scoping the area but then silence. It seemed to last an eternity, just the far off babbling of a river and the wind howling in the distance, when it was broken something sniffing the air. It was too close for comfort, Hero’s mind racing with the possibilities of what kind of killer was hunting her, could they track her with scent alone and she’d just sealed her fate by backing herself into a corner.

Maybe the forest would dampen her scent. More sniffing even closer this time and a clawed hand entered her hiding spot. Hero pushed himself as far back in the hollow as she could when she saw the a beast peer inside. Hero froze, though she and North had grown closer she was still nervous but it was far better then the terror she felt moments ago thinking she was going to be the next victim of a serial killer.

A chuckle filled the hollow as North’s blank face turned into a toothy grin. she pushed herself deeper into the hollow. Hero’s eyes went wide, the action freeing her from her frozen daze. she kicked at the broad body of the Goddess but this just erupted another chuckle from North, her defence useless as the beast crawls further on top of her, she squeezes her eyes shut tightly.

“Feisty little sheep” North smirks at her mate, lying gently on top of her and giving her a quick, gentle nip on the neck, her arms enveloping Hero in her warmth.

Hero opened her eyes, peeking at the playful look on North’s face, she was so confused, she tried to back away a little more but was pulled closer.

“Heh, I guess the fun is over, lets go home.” North Dragged the woman out, holding her close in her arms. Hero catching on that this was a game, she knew the goddess liked to hunt playfully, almost like a cat in her free time. She just hadn’t thought that would extend to her.

“Did you set this up” Hero growled and struggled in North’s clawed paws.

“No, when I saw you stumbling back home I thought I’d bring you back faster if I picked you up… then you ran and my instincts kicked in.” She purred at Hero who was flushed. She pouted, maybe she had drunk to much, she does remember waking up and blearily stumbling back into there shared mountain range. She couldn’t really blame North for her instincts when she wasn’t even hurt when she was caught.

Hero let North carry her back into there property, the shimmering lake looking peaceful, it was calm and the cool breeze blowing off it ruffled her fur. A sniff and growl of appreciation broke Hero’s thoughts of the almost serene surroundings. The feeling of a wet nose buried into her neck and panic seeped in again. North doesn’t hurt any mortals but she was still a behemoth being at 3 times Hero’s size. She could be gentle but was still sometimes want to act like a feral animal, pawing and nipping at Hero for attention or affection and a nip could turn out to be a bite with the size difference.

“You smell nice, come rest in bed so we can cuddle.” North Growled and kissed her on the cheek.

“Okay, okay big guy.” Hero laughed at the sight of the large beast holding her so tenderly and acting so cute and needy.
