Cass's debute
This is literally the first thing I ever wrote about Rosebrook without knowing it, lmao. It's really short but everything gets incorporated into Rosebrook Lore eventually. This was written in when I was in the 8th grade.
4 to five days. Cassandra is the new Rosebrook radio host. On her first day, there is a minor death. But over the next few days, people go missing the only trace of them being red splats with bits of fur, claws, or teeth at the crime scene. The victims might come back to their loved ones as horribly deformed creatures. The last day is a panicked recording of Cassandra before she’s caught by the monsters.
Day 1
Cassandra: Oh w-wow, my first day on the job. I truly didn’t think I’d get into radio with my st-t-tuder. Lucky this place picked me. (Breathy laughter)
Ok, a-anyways… (sound of paper rustling) It seems that Ms. Boston’s ten-year-old son Matthew seemed t-to have been hit by a car. Oh dear, poor t-thing. He was playing out in the streets when the car came out of nowhere and struck him. He seemed to have passed away before they were able to get him to the hospital. (Sound of more paper rustling)
There h-has to be something better here.. Or I could just move on to the weather. Yeah, I-I’ll do that. The forecast for today is cloudy, with a 49% chance of rain. Same for tomorrow, and all the way up until Friday, which is a very sunny day/

Cassandra: Well, l-luckly I haven’t been fired yesterday. So I must be doing something right.
