TW: ABUSE. I DON'T SUPPORT THE PERPETRATOR'S ACTIONS.

Autumn lay in bed next to Beth; even though she knew that Beth would be there to protect her from her past repeating itself, she couldn’t help but feel the rising sense of dread as her mind brought her back to her former life. She remembered lying down on the ground, agonizing over the toil her masters put on her. More and more work, no matter what her body’s condition was. It wouldn’t ever end, and only when she slept, did she have true peace during the time when she was alive.

The times that she wasn’t working weren’t any better either. Beaten, starved, deprived of the essentials needed for the bare minimum of life, deprived her very nature as a living being and being reduced to basically a robot at best and an object at worse… were just a few of the monstrosities that occurred to her during her past life. One night however, did the horrors go too far. Too much work, too much work for any person to do in a lifetime had broken her body so much that she wasn't able to work. Too much torture over the years had broken her mind too. The urge to sleep was pulling at her, and no matter how hard she fought the urge to sleep, it came back, stronger than the last time it had arrived. She was just so exhausted from her life...

“Autumn?” A familiar voice had pierced through the sheer bleakness of her past.

Beth’s voice was like a soothing and sweet savior that pulled Autumn out of her nightmare. Autumn looked up at Beth with eyes that had tears in them; tears of sadness, but now that Beth pulled her out of the dark waters of her past, her tears were tears of joy, tears of reassurance that her past wouldn’t ever occur to her again as long as she was by Beth’s side.
