Strong dragon by puppybluez

As Ares was flying,he noticed a figure... a big figure, laying on the ground still, he almost passed them up if it wasn't for their curiosity. As he lowered himself towards the creature, he circled it, noticing that in fact, it was not enjoying the sun... more like it was trying to get out. He flew down and landed near it, examining it. She seemed to be overheating and she was well close to fainting right in the sun. Ares grumbled in discontentment 'I can't just leave her here...' and he went forward to try to carry the large creature to safety, now only noticing just how big she was. Ares thought 'Ok... so now what? I'm not even as big or strong as most mortal dragons!' Well he was strong, of course, but when it came to pure strength well... he wasn't exactly good for that. Ares stood up on his hind legs, rubbed his hands together and grabbed Beth by the hands before promptly-

He fell to the ground, he snorted in frustration and got back up. 'I could use my magic...' Ares shook his head 'No I can't do that...I don't want to accidentally hurt her...' He thought once again, tapping his chin. 'Oh... I'm going to have to do this the old way...' So as best he could, he got Beth onto his back, and mustering all his strength he pushed himself up... and he didn't collapse! He roared a laugh in victory "Haha! See! I can be as strong as mortal dragons without magic! Haha!!" With pride, he looked up at Beth, "Alright then miss! Are you okay up there?", she mumbled out a response, which he took as a yes. "Alright! Now... uh..." He took a shaky step forward, now realizing that maybe he wasn't really as strong. "Ok! Uh so where do you live? I hope its not upwards haha... I don't think I can fly..." Beth gave him the name. "Oh... another realm? I can do that! I think" He summoned a portal, he looked nervously through the chaotic mess "Eheheh... Ok! I can do this!" Beth pointed in the direction, to where he could faintly see a small, cream cat, who seemed to be waiting...

"Alright... you better hold on! I'm not the most graceful out there!" and he jumped through the portal.
