The cat's cradle

Noah used to be a chef in a fancy hotel restaurant. When his manager told him he won a trip to New Orleans in a company contest, he was beyond ecstatic. While in New Orleans, he ran across a curious shop tucked away in an alley way. While there, he bought a strange amulet from the late 1700s with a cat's eye pattern on it. When he returned home, Noah decided to put on the amulet and wear it to work. Noah never made it back to work, the amulet caused his body to freeze up. A voice told him to relax, that all his desires would come true, luring him into a false sense of security. He was in a feeling of bliss as his mind and body changed. When he awoke, Noah found he was a 6'3" tall cat and could feel something dark coursing through his body. "Greetings," he heard his own voice tell him. "This is our body now. I hope you don't mind but we'll be here for a while..." he could feel his own soul tearing apart, part of it entering the amulet, another forming into a green orb in his palm, and the other, his darker desires, stayed in place. His body wasn't fully his anymore. The amulet once belonged to a wizard, who hoped to prolong his life by putting his soul into it. The problem was the wizard would have succeeded completely if his familiar, a black and white cat, hadn't gotten in the way. The 2 souls had fused upon enter the charm and now Noah was the new physical host and a 1/3 of this newly formed evil being.
