Jack frost nipped at his wings as he flew through the air, below him the mountains and land as well as the trees and bushes, were all covered in a pure white, the powdery snow seemed to twinkle when the sun shown upon it at a certain angle. Why did he choose this place of all places to live? He flapped his wings a few times, trying to shake the frozen air and water from his feathers as he glided towards the branch of a dead tree.

He landed upon it, his talons digging into the rotting bark, his good eye staring at the world around him. His castle, home.. was far from this spot, it would take a while to get back to but that didn't matter. He'd rather stay here than anything else. Raev lets out a caw like sound, his feathers ruffling as he flaps his wings, once again shaking the cold from them. This place was somewhat connected to the Ice dragon lands, but he never saw them roam around these parts...

He wondered, was it even worth all of this? He jumps off the branch and takes to the air once more, flapping against the current hard before gliding for a moment, and then flapped once more. He knew where he was headed.. It was the only place he had found that held any beauty.. well for him anyways. It took him a total of forty minutes to finally arrive to where he wanted to be..

Coming into a slow landing he changed his form to that of his human form, strands of blue hair blew in the slight breeze that was starting to form. The sleeves of his robe blew in the wind as well, at least when he transformed this time it was with clothes on. Bare feet walk along the snow, a shiver trailing up his back.. How long had it been since he'd seen these ruins? The destroyed statues? A long time if he knew better.

"How can such a beautiful place, become such a ruined land?... The statues.. everything is gone." He trails his hand along the tail of a broken dragon statue, crystals gleamed in the eye sockets. "So, the dragons left this place.." His voice sounded broken, an old memory coming back to haunt him. Raev had always been the sort to forget his past, but his heart... Something that was slowly trying to form was causing it to ache.

"Like you, I have been forgotten as well. A hallow shell of a man I used to be... Oh.." His hand slides from the statue as he walks along, to a small garden that he had spotted. "Winter lilies? Interesting..." He kneels down and looks at them, his hand reaching out to touch the petals with a sharp nail. "Xen would have loved to see these.." He mutters.

"Damn them for taking him away from me, damn everyone for stealing what was rightfully mine... All because of what? I felt love? Because I'm a demon, an ugly creature.. I loved a prince and I payed the price.." Raev bites his lip a little and stands up, walking through the garden, before looking upwards. "Hell was cruel.. but this world.. this world is even more cruel." His lips twitched into a smirk.

"But oh, the screams, the cries, the blood... My play things, they were all fun, but never a replacement for you my love... Until- No, it is something I will forget with time.. I'm a demon after all, a cruel monster just like my mother.. who would have fed me to her other children had I not gotten away." He swings his head back and lets out a loud laugh, "Is it so hard to ask?! To desire the one simple thing in the world?! Is it because of how I am?" He cried out, dropping to his knees as he stares at the sky.

"Perhaps.. I'll just, stay here like these statues... and these flowers, all forgotten in time." Raev slowly looks at the snow covered ground, tears he thought he never had coming forth and trailing down his face. Finally, he cried, wailed and screamed. Screeched, but most of all he cried, the pain of a hundred or thousands of years finally caught up to him. He let his body fall to the side, not caring that it was cold out; He would just lay there, crying all of it away... hoping to freeze over time.

"Forgive me... Forgive me for everything I have done.."

Those were the last words he said before he closed his eyes to drift of to sleep, silently crying to himself as the air grew colder. One of the most feared demons, one whom ate many souls and drained others of energy, was now laying in a field of flowers and broken statues and ruins that were slowly falling apart... For this was the only place that would welcome someone who was forgotten with time.
