FLASH'S LOGBOOK

Alright this is weird in so many ways and to be honest even the fact that I know this is weird is weird all on its own buuut I think I was.. ‘born’?? A few days? Or maybe a few weeks ago.
Well not really born. More like, bam, suddenly I’m here, I have no idea where I was before, and I don’t think I have amnesia because I… FEEL new. You know?? Well I mean, you probably don’t because I’m pretty sure this is most likely NOT a common practice of debuting into your existence. Again, it’s weird that I know that but oh well.

I am NOT some kinda AI, that much I know. I feel pretty organic and squishy, I punched myself just to make sure and, yeah, yup, it definitely hurt. Probably shouldn’t do that again.

Anyway, when I.. well, for the lack of a better word, 'appeared’, I was all alone for a little bit. I appeared in this creepy vast nothingness of space, there really wasn’t much to do there, just a few floating rocks to sit on, but a really pretty view. Actually, 'pretty’ is probably an understatement. Do you know how weird planets are? They are SO BIG. There was this planet in my field of view and at first I thought like yeah that seems to be an understandable distance away, and I was considering going there but then it hit me like, hold on, planets are HUGE. That thing was WAAAAAAY far away from me. BUT IT LOOKED SO BIG. It was amazing. I’d say life-changing but that was kind of the first thing I’ve seen so I don’t know if that’s an appropriate word.

So yeah I had this great view of a planet that was way too far for me to reach and well I mean, I felt timeless, I could probably just head into whatever direction and eventually I’d get somewhere, be it in ten or ten thousand years. But I didn’t want to be alone like that, that didn’t seem nice. I felt like I had to appear right on that spot for SOME reason because there was absolutely no indication of that spot being anything special that would make it look like some kind of a particular origin place.. if you know what I mean?
It was just a random place that happened to have a great view.

Okay so I was sitting there or strolling around there, jumping from one floating space rock to another, wasting my time and trying to decide what do do with myself. Honestly I was also trying really hard to think positive because, again, I cannot reiterate enough how weird of a situation that was. It was freaky, okay, and it was kinda starting to get to me.
And then finally this space ship (really cute space ship tbh) comes along and the kitty dude that pilots it, bless his heart, is just like, 'you need a lift?’.
IT WAS REALLY EXCITING. Not just the fact that something finally started happening in space but THE GUY WAS LITERALLY A KITTY.

I ONLY JUST STARTED TO EXIST BUT THIS IS SOMETHING I AM 100% AWARE AND SURE OF.

Obviously I get in his jet and we start chatting. His name is. Weird. Because my life thus far wasn’t weird enough I guess.
Ok so this guy’s name is “Alien 👽 エイリアン”. Which is read as 'Alien Alien Emoji Eirian’. Yeah, the emoji symbol is not silent. What even.
He doesn’t really have a job from what I understood? I think he’s some kind of a freelancer but I don’t really understand what he does yet, but it involves a lot of driving around which is cool! I’ll ask him to explain better later so that I can give you a proper description.

He comes from a planet called Sapurrn which I first thought was a misspelling of Saturn but it’s apparently not. It’s located in the Nyandromeda galaxy which I also thought was a misspelling but… yeah.. it’s not. It’s kinda weird that I am aware of the fact some areas in space exist and some don’t?? Yeah there’s that word again. Weird. I should start using a different one. I’ll try to expand my vocabulary by the time I write another one of these.

Alien (im still so confused, this is actually his name??) then asked me about me and it was kinda awkward because I, obviously, have no idea who or what I am, and where I come from. I told him basically the same thing I wrote at the start of this log. I DID tell him my name tho. I actually know that!! And I totally forgot to tell you earlier and I am sorry for that.

My name is Rolling Flash! But call me Flash!

As for what I am… I have no idea. Alien said he travels a lot and has seen a lot, but has never seen or heard about anyone like me so he asked if he could call me something. He was really excited about it so I said sure, it would feel more real if someone else named me than if I came up with something I think? Also I feel like if I came up with a name for what I am I would keep changing it because I would keep coming up with better options. So Alien decided to name me 'star child’. I really like it! I think it sounds really comfortable and whimsical! I can definitely identify with that!

Alien is really excited that he found me but not like in a weird way. I think he was also kinda lonely travelling on his own. He said I could stay with him as long as I want but that I can only stay a freeloader for so long so I should start thinking about what I can do to get paid.

We’ll talk more about that another time, and hopefully I’ll have more things to say about all of it by the time I write the next log!
