It didn't take long for the flock to be a nuisance to Split. Xe had been going with Clementine to Fallstreak Hole to make sure nothing ever went wrong, in the off chance that it did.
It took quite a lot to get any sort of reaction out of xem and with every pass that was too close, the flock of sheep were really starting to push it. Clementine was fortunately unaware of xem having to consciously relax xir face and grip on xir sword. Mimicking a sigh, xe looked out around xem only to immediately tense.
Through some unfortunate twist, a rogue static sheep had caught sight of the two of them. Bristling, xe turned to Clementine, tapping her for her attention.
"Huh?!" She flinched, flipping around to look at her guardian. Following xir outstretched hand, she saw the bundle of electrified wool gaining on where the two of them were sitting. Scrambling up, Clementine ran off somewhere safe to hide.
With her out of the way and, hopefully, safer, Split focused all of xir attention on the problem at hand. The other sheep were fortunately a fair distance away but that really could change. Being forced to deal with it later, xe settled into a fighting stance, waiting for the static sheep to get closer.
