Moving In

I spent all my money on this, and my parents and other family also financially supported me. I had to buy a car, a caravan and lot space, so, it's a lot of money. The car and caravan were used, of course, but it's still quite a lot of money. Whatever, it's bought now, no loans or anything, I'm free. Finally.

I drive into the campground, talk a bit to some people who work there, and drive into my spot. It's flat, but there's a large hill 2 minutes from the spot. A girl around my age walks towards me.

"Hey, need help setting up the tent?"

"Ah, yes please," I answer, fumbling around with the plastic that is gonna become a tent later on.

"Alright, uhh, can you hand me those sticks?" She points towards a pile of sticks I have in a bag.

"Yea, sure!" I walk over to the bag, and then walk towards her, giving the sticks to her.

"Thank you!"

After 10 minutes, we finished setting up the tent. I say "we", but she did basically all the work. I thank her once again.

"Ah, no problem! I see that you're new here?"

"Yup, indeed I am. What about you?"

"Oh, I've been here for years- It's s really nice place, I can show you around." She smiles, hands on her hips.

"Oh, thank you! How old are you?"

"I'm 17, and since I was 14, I've been here with my family around every weekend. Obviously, on weekends where we have other plans, I'm not here, but, yeah, we're here pretty often."

"Oh, so you're only here at the weekends?" I mutter disappointedly.

"Yeah, on weekdays we're at home. We're a family of 5, and the campground is far away from our school, so yeah."

"Oh, I see. I'm here permanently."

"That's so fucking cool! When I graduate and am 18, I'm gonna do that too. My family is alright with it, they'll just visit at weekends still!"

"That's awesome! I'm excited, when are you graduating?"

"In a month, bahah." She laughs.

"Only? Yay!"

"Mhm! Well, well, let me show you around now. They have goats!"
