Cold day cuddles

Days like this made a good excuse for staying inside.

Though, Beth wasn't exactly the type to go looking for reasons to get all cooped up and cut off from the outside world. It was just such a bother trudging out into the snowfall and trying to make the best of a miserable situation, when she could just as easily turn to a good book and get lost into a world with much warmer climes, conducive to a good adventure, full of action and drama and maybe, at the end of the day, a good moral to come away with...! So that's exactly where the kindly goddess was now, curled up on the couch with her plushest comforter and a thick tome she'd been meaning to get around to. Lost as she was in the prose, she didn't notice the sighing coming from somewhere in the vicinity of the window. But that was Autumn -- looking out into the snowstorm, cause of a wasted day.

Oh, but it didn't have to be that way.

The diminutive (or at least in comparison) cat tore her gaze from the dreary scene outside to check up on her wife. Beth was making the most of the snow day, wasn't she? And with a mischievous grin alighting on her face, Autumn decided that she, too, would take advantage of the close quarters they would have to make do with until the storm passed.

It took a moment for Beth to register the sudden disappearance of the world she'd become a part of. There the book was, pushed over and onto her chest as the new great antagonist loomed over the covers to gaze into the hyena's startled face -- Autumn, comfortably sprawling across her beloved's comfy repose. And in return, Beth couldn't help but snort a little giggle, offering a peck to Autumn's pink little nose before picking her book back up.

The frisky kitty wouldn't be thwarted so easily -- with a purr, she smoothed her head across Beth's expansive belly, paws kneading against her wife's ticklish ribs and, sure enough, drawing out another smattering of giggles.

"Autumn...!"  the hyena chided gently, rolling onto her side to try and shake off the affectionate intruder. But Autumn was not so easily dissuaded -- she stole away the comforter separating them with a snicker, pulling it off to pile onto the floor as she wriggled into the familiar warmth of her wife's big spoon. "Beth~?" she responded coyly in kind, sing-song in tone even as she continued her cuddly onslaught.
