Balosk was trained as a warrior at a very early age. He was the most physically capable in his tribe, and was taken into Jericho's military at a young age. There he went through specialized training to bring him to the best of his capable abilities. Basically being trained as almost a fantasy super soldier, at least the most super his body would let him, which was a very high capacity. Lizardfolk are strong. He trained along with other handpicked people from around the world. He learned how to use countless weapons, survive in harsh conditions, and close quarters combat. Once he was of age he fought in many battles and conducted special jobs given to him by the government with his squad. After only a few years of being a soldier, he retired. He went back to his humble home in the swamps of Tarroth, where the lizardfolk are from. He settled down with a female lizardfolk named Emmeril. They would then start a family, having a son, who they named Belrin. But life wasn't all happiness. There was a looming threat, that day by day would get worse,  over the Lizardfolk. The Crimson Guard. They were a highly militaristic empire that resided at the southern coast of Tarroth, ruled by High Lord Avarice. They were beginning to rapidly spread land, raiding cities and villages, and conquering them. Though the solitary Lizardfolk were blind to this, as they just wanted to keep to themselves. Though the day would inevitably come, the swamps served as an excellent place for trade routes and military camps, unfortunately the Lizardfolk simply lived there, and High Lord Avarice hated Lizardfolk. Without warning, Crimson Guard soldiers raided the peaceful Lizardfolk village, killing every man, woman, and child in sight. Even with his specialized training, Balosk couldn't fight back. There were too many of them, let alone they had guns. Guns... his worst enemy, yet also soon to be his best friend. Those were basically unheard of, his only duty was to protect his son. Balosk wasn't with his wife at the time, only his son. He grabbed Belrin's wrist and dragged him deep into the swamp. Balosk didn't look back, but he heard everthing. His friends and family, screaming in terror. Swords clashing, gunshots, homes burning. After running for only a few minutes, but what felt like hours, he looked back at Belrin, who had a bullet wound in his chest. Balosk went quiet. His son asked what was happening to him, where his mom is, if he was gonna be ok. Balosk didn't answer. He couldn't. He was in shock. His son then died, there in his arms, he was only twelve. Then Crimson Guard began to advance to his position. Balosk had to get out of there before they would kill him, having to leave his son's body behind. Balosk was able to escape, and swore on that day, The Crimson Guard would pay with their blood, and High Lord Avarice would suffer a slow, incredibly painful death. Balosk then moved to the city of Pantala, one of the black market capitals of the world, where he would delve into the world of the black market, becoming a notorious, unrelenting bounty hunter. His specialized skills made him a quick reputation as someone to simply keep distance from. Balosk would refuse any job that required killing children or innocent people, he didn't want to inflict the pain he felt on that fateful day on other people. Simply jobs that revolved around feuding gangs and other black market ordeals. Soon, he would meet Mergo, a red and black dragonborn who owned a very secretive tavern that revolved around the black market. Basically an adventurer's guild, but for the underground (Black Market). Him and Mergo quickly earned each other's respect, and became good friends. Mergo was really the only person Balosk had. Then there was the day everything changed for Balosk, again. It was a simple job. Sneak into this gang hideout, take out their leader, who had been getting into some very sketchy business. When he got there, there were absolutely demolished corpses, entrails ripped out, rib cages sticking out. It was a vile scene. Balosk found a double barrel shotgun while he was there, making him even more of a force to be reckoned with. The leader, unsurprisingly, was also dead. He heard something on the roof, and went up to check it out. There he met the man... no, thing who did all this. Someone dressed in all black, wearing a gas mask, eyes glowing a bright yellow, and a valve leaking black liquid on its neck. They fought, the assassin easily overpowered Balosk, but thankfully he had that shotgun, which he used to blow a hole into the chest of the figure, it fell to the floor, seeming dead. Balosk fell on one knee, breathing heavily. Then the assassin slowly started rising up. Balosk widened his eyes, running over and grappling the thing, grabbing the valve and attempted to rip it out, he was then shot in the left shoulder, not knowing where the shot came from. Balosk fell to the floor, the assassin quickly escaped. Balosk looked around, trying to find out where the shot came from, before seeing the glare of a sniper muzzle a few buildings over, Balosk hastily rolled to the fire escape stairs, getting cover from the sniper, and getting the hell out of there. He regrouped with Mergo, where they figured out that that thing was apart of a highly dangerous cult, whom they dubbed the dark legion. Now The Crimson Guard wasn't the only force that had to be stopped. This would be a long couple of years. Balosk would embark on an adventure to stop them, that would lead him to many places, and meet many new people. That's where his story gets left off, for now.
