Evan's Backstory

    Evan had a rather weird and complicated childhood. He doesn’t  usually talk about his past much. In fact if anyone asks him about  before he met Zukamon he avoids talking about it and will try to change  the subject to something else.

    As for how he became a tamer,  that’s a story he's happy to tell. It all started one summer when he  was 13 and got sucked through his computer into digiworld. After walking  around aimlessly for a while, he got captured by a group of digimon who  called themselves the “Orochi Clan”. They held him captive for nearly a  week because they thought he was a digital guardian like Gennai. Two  members of the clan, Ruckusmon and Zukamon realized he was a regular  human and tried to help him escape. As a result their boss got really  mad and came after them. Ruckusmon was captured but Zukamon and Evan got  away.

    The new duo spent the next few months on the run from  the Orochi Clan. As they did Zukamon explained all about the clan and  why he joined. And slowly, over time Evan opened up to Zukamon about his  weird childhood and how he got to digiworld. Then one day the two  friends made a pact with each other that no matter what happened or what  they had to face, they’d always stand by each other. Immediately after  this a ball of light appeared in front of Evan and a digivice emerged  from it. Evan didn’t know what it meant but Zukamon said that it meant  they were now digidestends!

     To start out with Evan  couldn’t get his digivice to do anything except show their location in  digiworld. Then while eating at Digitamamon’s café they ran into this  woman (or rather digital guardian) named Cilia. She told them that  Evan’s digivice is a special rare type called a Digi-Lock Digivice. This  means Evan must obtain 5 special keys to unlock the digivice’s powers.  These keys are hidden in various locations around digiworld to keep them  safe, and he must track them down if he and Zukamon wish to "reach  their full potential”. They have spent the time since looking for these  elusive keys but have only managed to find one so far.
