Early morning, typically around the time when Meridian tends to get up to go about his day, Azzy was on a mission. The past few weeks have been more than dull and boring, she’s been left to her own devices on the island Meridian calls his home. Having far too many run ins with Sylvana’s ladies, she tends to spend most of her time in the living quarters. Days like today are boring and thus she does what she does best. Wander about until either an idea pops into her head or she’s sent off to find someone. Today was the former.  By the time she gets to the living quarters of the citadel, Meridian was long gone. Not that it mattered though, if anything it plays perfectly into her plan. Carefully she slips into the bedroom where Meridian slept and kept most of his personal belongings. Today was her lucky day. Sitting on the bedside table on the small stand was the journal. Not just any journal, this one didn’t have the red stamp on it. Did Meridian forget his journal? No, no he doesn’t simply forget something like this. Whether it was intentional or not, he would come looking for the journal and this was her chance to put her plan into action.

Making her way across the room to the journal, she carefully picks it up and opens it up. Luckily the journal had numerous enchantments on it to make it easier for Meridian to write in it as well as never run out of writing space. Opening the journal, she finds the first blank page. Picking up the pen from the table she begins her work. She was determined for this to work. Taking the next few minutes, she begins writing into the journal. After all, this was Meridian’s personal Journal. It’s impossible for him to not notice something like this. Her writing was nothing like his and furthermore, the ink of her writing was in a bright blue as opposed to Meridian’s deep purple ink. Once she finishes writing in the journal, she sets the pen aside and dog-ears the page closing the journal. Carefully she sets it back on the pedestal and exits the room in waiting for Meridian to return looking for the journal. Everything was falling into place as she had planned.  Holding her hand out she begins to cast some magic on the journal, this was the most important part. She did not want him to see the message while in a loop. With this magic, the writing she added would only appear when outside of a loop. She learned of this technique from her interactions with KJ for the brief moments she’s had with them.

As she expected, Meridian watched these events play out loop after loop. Many of the loops he’d intervene and prevent her from writing in the journal. After all, this was his personal journal and only he was permitted to read or write into it. But after enough interrogations with Azzy and not really getting any straight answers from her, he decided to let this play out and see just what she had planned. As chaotic as she may be, he’s spent more than enough time with her to know that she would never do anything malicious towards him. If anything all she ever wants is to be around him helping him with anything he may ask. After she finished with the writing and the magic, he waits for her to leave before summoning the journal to his hand. Exactly as she intended the page she wrote could not be found. He was in a loop afterall, and the magic doesn’t allow the writing to appear while inside a loop. Shrugging it off and taking a mental note of it, he takes off to finish off the infinite number of loops before moving on to the final loop where he would end things and live out the day in the set timeline.

Drinking the potion and ending the loops, his journal glows with a soft blue light. Taking it out he opens the journal revealing the page in which Azzy wrote reading:

"Dear Mister Meridian,
Don’t you think I forgot about you. I just want to say thank you for everything that you’ve done and for being the best purple man out there. Matrix said that I should say I’m sorry for calling you an ignorant slut so I’m sorry.
Do you think we could go on an adventure again sometime? Those are my favourite! I would love to go to IHOP with Dreamer and her boss again!
Happy Father’s Day
Lots of Love Azzy"

Scrawled across the bottom of the page is a number of childlike drawings of what could only be described as Meridian and Azzy. Of these pictures, there’s one that’s quite clearly has had more effort put into it; that being Meridian giving Azzy a head pat.  This was rather unexpected to him, although he did get a similar letter that was intended for Matrix. Perhaps he should go in search of her. It’s best if he said something to her in regards to this. Making his way out of the bedroom he enters the main open area of the citadel. Here the numerous structures of journal storage create an almost community like setting. Sure enough, he found Azzy walking through here. Holding her hand is a wraith, all too familiar to him as the two of them walk into the wall of a building disappearing without a trace. Given the unpredictable tendencies of Matrix, anticipating where they went was damn near impossible. But despite all this, he knew it was only a matter of time before she shows up again. It’s inevitable.
