Xaria walked through Lilypad Town with a confidence synonymous to the Necrobie himself. He was in a good mood, his new date, Rin, another Necrobie he had met after living his life believing he was the only one, had bought him a new Fishing net the day prior. Xaria didn't like work, but sometimes he had too, he knew that, so it was greatly appreciated. Speaking of work, Xaria had heard of some work around town, about how Samuel didn't trust Magnolia, so Jasmine was going to ask others for help proving that she was trustworthy. In all honesty, the cat plush could barely remember who they were, Magnolia was a fox, right? That was the only one he had a memory of, and speak of the devil! His ears swiveled to the left as he heard someone walk, and there she was! "Huh.." Xaria outwardly made a sound of surprise at the coincidence, before taking a loud sip of his latte, also funded by his date.

Derik was honestly not himself these days. He didn't mind that Hook was a raider. It was the fact that he couldn't be in the town anymore. So he wouldn't be able to walk outside his door and see his neighbor there. When he heard that Jasmine wanted help proving Magnolia was trustworthy, Derik felt it was an opportunity. If he could prove that the fox lady is harmless even if she turns out to be a raider..he could see Hook again! He praised himself for his genius plan. He would need proof of some sort wouldn't he? Good thing he has his camera! So he sets out near the woods, camera in hand he hid in the bushes waiting for her to pass by.

Xaria happened to walk the same path as the Fennec fox, before his ears flicked and he stopped. He heard something. Without a care, he strolled up to a bush, using his giant hand to move the brush aside to see inside. When his eyes laid upon the dingo, his face dropped before slowly morphing into disgust and anger. He stood back up and tried to kick at the other male, to pin him down under his foot. ”What in the world do you think your doing, hiding in the bushes with a camera, Creep?!” he hissed, his tail lashing and ears flattened to his head

Derik let out an eep when his hiding place was spotted. When he was pinned down he started to panic, "H..hey what did I do?!" he flinched when he was called a creep. "I was..I was.." he started to cry. "I just wanted to..to get proof that Magnolia is trustworthy even if she..she's a raider so that maybe..maybe I could see Hook agaaainnn!" he bursts out crying.

Xaria raised a brow and lowered the other, but got his foot off the anthro. He seemed harmless, but a crybaby. It wasn't like when Xaria cried. When Xaria started crying, he was trying to get what he wanted, this crying seemed to be brought by genuine emotion. Gross. "What would proof do? She's not a raider." He spoke with certainty, even though he didn't know. Though to him, all his opinions were facts. "You'll just prove she's trustworthy, you can't generalize a whole species population based on a fox." He huffed

Derik sat himself back up and wiped his tears. "But that's what I heard. Depending on how Magnolia is, it can influence if the raiders can come back to the town.." He sniffles. "And then Hook can come back and be my neighbor again." He looks at Xaria for a few seconds before gasping. "It's you! You're the one that moved into Hooks house!" He squints at him. "What are you doing here anyways?"

Xaria rolled his eyes while Derik kept talking in his whiny, annoying voice. He took a loud sip of his latte, to maybe shut the younger man up, but it didn't seem to work. "Doubt it. They left so long ago, don't think they'll be back anytime soon." He glanced away, regretting walking this way till Derik said he knew him. "Ugh, you're my neighbor?" He spoke in disgust, he didn't want to live near this crybaby! What if his crying wakes up his beauty sleep?? He needs his sleep!! "I'm.. walking? I live in this town, I have every right to walk where I please." He didn't shoot the question back because he already knew why he was in the bush. "Why do you care?"

Derik's ears flicked in irritation. "No, he promised he's coming back. He never breaks a promise. You don't even know him. And if anyone is having trouble sleeping it's me. What are you doing over there at night thats so loud?" He crosses his arms. "Well of course you can walk around. It was a question I asked because I didn't expect to run into you." He huffs. "Because it is common courtesy to get to know the guy that moved into my best friend's home. If I can somehow find a way to get along with you then that would be fine. Models for my clothes are welcomed as long as they have some decency."

Xaria kept drinking his latte loudly as Derik rambled on and on, the cat’s tail flicking back and forth in irritation. He didn’t care what he had to say, till he mentioned modeling. He stopped, lowering his drink a bit. ” ‘Modeling’?” he asks, his slit eyes widening like a cats, a purr coming from him.

Derik honestly didn't even notice that Xaria was drinking loudly to drown him out. He just saw it as the necrobie being thirsty. "Yeah! I'm a fashion designer!" He puts his paws on his hips and puffs out his chest proudly. "Hook used to be my go to model because he had the perfect look and his figure was fangtastic!" he grins. "I haven't gotten big yet but I will 100% open up a shop in town and business will be booming!"

"A fashion designer~? Does this.. 'model', get to keep the outfits? As payment~?" Xaria purred, leaning down to Derik’s height, his tail curling. Was he trying to get Derik to agree to be a clothing provider for him without realizing? maybe

Derik nods, "Yeah if i make the design specifically for the person in mind they get to keep the outfit." He pulls out his sketchbook and shows off the outfit he made Hook. "This is what I did for Hook. He looked fangtastic by the way." The dingos' tail started to wag. "it personally wasn't his style but he still loved it anyways."

Xaria judged the outfit. Man whoever it was fitted for had the body shape of a god damn twig. ”Weeeelllll” Xaria put his hand on top of the notebook, slowly moving it down to see Deriks face. A grin spread across his face. ”Since you don’t have this, Hook anymore, maybe IIIIIII could be your model~?” He moved to stand beside Derik, slinging an arm over his shoulder. ”It would be a shame if all your talent went to waste because you had no models” he pouted

Derik didn't really like how Xaria said he didn't have Hook anymore. But he was happy that someone was interested in modeling for him. "Well, Hook was my first model and I haven't designed since.." he puts a paw on his mouth to think. "Working with.." he looks at Xaria, "If you don't mind me asking..i've never seen someone like you before so um.." he's trying really hard to not be offensive.

"Yes, Yes you've tollldd me he was your first model, but he's not here anymore to be'' Xaria hummed in a somber tone, fully trying to manipulate him with it. "Oh? You're asking about my species? Apparently I'm a 'Neck-row-bee'. But I just like being called a Cat plush doll~" He purred, his tail wrapping around Deriks waist. "So what do you say, hm? Wanna be.. coworkers~?"

Derik tilted his head when Xaria answered. So his arms are plush? This guy might be interesting to work with. The tail wrapped around his waist was a little..strange but he can deal with it. "I mean that would be fangtastic. But are you okay with me experimenting?" He likes the idea of a challenge but he doesn't know Xaria enough yet to make a proper outfit. Since he makes them based on someone's personality and his bond with them.

"Of course! Take your time, Any outfit is purrfect~" Xaria mused. In all honesty, if he didn't like a certain outfit he was given, he'd just donate it to the needy. He would be looked up to as a generous man, so it was a win in his eyes! "I just know you'll be able to craft the most amazing fashion"

Inflating Deriks ego was a good call. The dingo's eyes sparkled, "Of course! I can't let down my models!" He drew out a quick sketch of Xaria for a base. "Okay so I'm going to need details. LIke preferred colors, fabric any preferences with how much of your fur-uh plush exposed. I usually make the outfits after I get to know someone buuut'' he looks over at Xaria, "You're kind of hard to read..no offense."

"Oh none taken!" Xaria gently booped Deriks nose as he spoke, before getting up and walking a bit aways in front of him, so Derik can get a good look of his entire body. "I love Red and blacks, a bit of white as accent colors. I don't mind my arms being fully covered, though I know that may be hard on you." His ears flicked while thinking. "Fabrics? Ah, I don't know many types, we can just go with the flow, and if I don't like a feel of one, I'll tell ya! How does that sound~?" He purrs

Derik giggled when his nose was booped. He watched Xaria walk away then turn back around. When Xaria looked like he was going to talk Derik started to jot down the notes. "reds..blacks.." he nods as he listens to Xaria speak. "Oh, I can work with that." He makes a note about the preference. "yeah that would be helpful!" He closes his sketchbook then puts it away.

"Fangtastic!" Xaria stole his line!! "You know where to find me, since we are neighbors after all, so hit me up whenever you need help. I may be with my date though.." Xaria took a drink from his latte incase Derik had any parting words for him

Derik squints, "Heeeyy..that's my thing." He crosses his arms in a huff. "Fine I guess you can say it too since you have fangs." His tail wags again when he heard the word date, "date? Ooooo what are they like?" He's very curious about this.

"Take it as a compliment, I like the way you talk." Xaria hummed before Rin was mentioned, not by name but by association. "Oh. He's a Neck-Row-Bee like me. He's like.. a checkered shark though. Really cute, has some cool scars on his face, white hair. Smoke comes from inside him, the whole 9 yards."

Derik had a light blush on his face. "Oh thank you then." When Xaira described the date he got excited. "Woah he sounds so cool! Smoke inside him? Is that part of what makes him a...necro..bie?" He wondered if the red and black color preference was because of the date.

Xaria gave an exaggerated shrug at Deriks question. ”I dunno! I don’t know any other Neck-Row-Bee’s. I have plush cats inside me so.. I have no clue why he has smoke.” Xaria forgot to mention the poker chips in Rin as well, but he didn’t think that was important

"Plush cats? Can I see?" He puts his paws over his mouth, "oh no i'm sorry that was rude."

”You’ll see when we begin working together my dear. I don’t want to undress right now.” Xaria didn’t want to show off his body in public, as he felt like the world didn’t deserve to see his beauty. He didn’t mind undressing and redressing in front of people though, so he knew Derik would see the plush’s inside him eventually

Derik nods. Understandable they are in public. "Yeah that makes sense. I tend to speak what's on my mind so if I say anything you don't like or is hurtful let me know!" He pats the camrea he has. "I won't be using this anytime soon. Never meant to be...suspicious looking." He does a nervous giggle.

"Oh. I will. Don't worry." Xaria put it bluntly, he wasn't one to be meek when it came to his discomfort, he was a complainer at heart, and would let everyone know. "Good. Just, don't get in any more trouble. Alright?' He commanded, if Derik got in trouble, then who would give him clothes?!

Derik felt a bit better now compared to how their meeting started. He learned a little bit about the necrobie. And now he has a model for his clothes! "I'll do my best! Hook is usually the one that lets me know if something is a bad idea so i've been a bit bad at figuring stuff out."

“Alright. Seeya.” Xaria left nonchalantly, his tail swaying back and forth as he did so.

“Bye!”
