It was the crack of dawn when the first rays of sunlight shined over the ridge of the mountain range of which a village took root and grew, where the village folk rose from their slumber and get prepared for the day ahead of them.

Over the mountains, meters up, lay the residence of two, whom have recently had a union, of which both are sound asleep before one of them got shone by a beam of sunlight, gentle as a feather's touch to one's face. A kindred, yet cautious feline girl by the name of Moonstone lay awake ahead of her monstrous and powerful, yet delicate and mild-mannered partner, of whom legends are told of her power rumored to be capable of ripping apart mountains and of her causing infamy and ire amongst her demi-goddess peers, partly resulting in her voluntary exile to the outskirts of her realm, the Hyena-Dragon Demi-Goddess of the South Ethereal Plane, Oak, deep in dreamy slumber as she snored mightily.

Moonstone lay there on their gigantic double bed, tuckered up and tightly embraced by Oak, trying to figure out how she'll get out of that said bed to do her daily itinerary, namely getting the chores done around the impressively spacious cabin, of which Oak had summoned as a form of gratitude to her "rescuer", fully furnished with rooms dedicated to certain activities, like cooking, crafting, book

keeping, enchanting, storage, and sleeping.

Clearly, she didn't like to wake Oak up earlier than her usual wake up time, which often a few hours later than when she often wakes up. The last time she forcibly left the bed before Oak did caused her to have a mood swing that resulted in her cratering herself to the ground at sea level, leaving behind a small crater that caused a ruckus to the village below them and a grumbling, needy Oak that wouldn't let Moonstone go for an entire day. Of course, she doesn't want that to happen again, so being the wily and crafty catwoman that she is, she thought of a plan so ridiculous that it might just work for her dear Oak: their gigantic double bed had a couple of soft pillows: one twice the size of Moonstone (for Oak's head), two being the same size as Moonstone (for Oak's hugging pleasure), and three small ones, all just for Moonstone. After living with Oak for a few weeks since stumbling upon her down in a hole, Moonstone has figured out Oak's mannerisms in some form or another, especially during sleep: Oak would often snuggle her instead of the two Moonstone-sized pillows to give her peace of mind, as well as being a living, breathing warm pillow that is oh-so soft and fluffy. Moonstone figured out that a decoy pillow that can mimic the same thing and allow her to leave the bed early.

After some careful maneuvering and placement of the decoy pillow by Oak's arms, Moonstone can fully focus now on doing the farming outside the house, which is a huge cabin overlooking the surrounding mountains, as well as the village further away. After a brief time spent on fixing her fur and light clothing, Moonstone took a glance at herself in the mirror: she was a fair-faced cat lady, with messy short brown hair, a slate grey eye on her left and an olive green eye on her right, yet without her thick-rimmed eyeglasses, she can barely see her own face; a crooked, yet cute smile, her smoothed cat ears up and erect listening to the ambiance of the surrounding mountainside, her fur being cream white all over, expect for some chocolate brown streaks on her face and right leg, and a curled over tail. After examining herself, she proceeded to wear her glasses that is just sitting in front of the mirror and finished up.

She is once again ready to face the world in her own tiny, yet significant way, and she does so by beginning with making breakfast for the two of them: obviously, her breakfast will be cooked and eaten first, since it was much easier and time-efficient to cook a smaller portion compared that of Oak's which required two large platters just for a modest breakfast in the eyes of her powerful and somewhat beastly partner. After a some time eating her breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, buttered toast, and some pumpkin juice, Moonstone now began cooking the humongous amount of food that is Oak's breakfast as a treat every once in a while instead of just watching her spawn something unsightly. After almost an hour of meticulous vigilance over the cooking, Oak's breakfast of roasted ox leg slathered with a special BBQ mixture on one platter, a large loaf of bread and a jar filled with a spread made out of cooked bone marrow and honey on the other platter, and a large steaming cup of green tea mixed with sugar and a few drops of cave spider's blood are now placed on the largest tray available, which barely fit all of the food and tableware.

After all that is said and done, she left the cooking equipment, as well as her used plate and utensils for Oak to easily disperse of. She now focuses on her main goal: tending to the new plots of land where the crops of her choosing grows.

Mushrooms, wheat, watermelon, beets; pumpkins, carrots, potatoes, all growing heartily as she stepped in with her nimble pair of padded cat feet. Water this, harvest that, her movements swift, yet clumsy; her brows warm, her arms tired, her enchanted iron hoe now dull and flimsy.

By the time she was done, it was now approaching noon, and as she sighed a sigh of accomplishment, her harvest abounty, she heard a wooshing sound and felt two thick arms hug her entire body, a familiar figure sniffing her odoured head in delight.

"Kept you waiting, huh?", Oak telepathically said to Moonstone in a feminine, affectionate tone, as she emitted a low, yet dreary rumble, a sign of contentment according to her.

"Yeah, you did kept me waiting", Moonstone bashfully said, her cheeks feeling hot once more, "so, how's breakfast?"

"De-licious!" She exclaimed in delight as she shared her sentiment to Moonstone in a mind-to-mind manner, "I didn't expect a mortal such as yourself to be good at cooking, maybe almost to the point of you being better than my spawned food for you."

"I'm glad you liked it." Moonstone quipped in an appreciative manner as she double-checked her inventory.

"Say, since you're done with your farming, it's time for us to go around and explore, to see new sights and to conquer new dangers, am I right or am I right?" Oak enthusiactically told Moonstone about her plans on this realm, with her body also barely containing the excitement of a new adventure.

"Yeah, that's great, but..." she interrupted herself mid-sentence

"But what, Moony?", Oak asked, her head tilted in puzzlement, "Oh, is it about your broken blaster? We can get that fixed, but I can protect you for now."

"Yeah, I should really hurry up with repairing it." Moonstone told Oak, her eyes closed and her crooked mouth wore a crooked smile as she scratched the back of her head in the realization that today is Exploration day.

"Mmhmm. Now, shall we go back to the cabin to prepare?" Oak suggested to Moonshine.

"Right on, Oakey, right on.", Moonstone said as she yawned and did a little stretch.

"Aight. Hang on tight." Oak advised.

Moonstone felt a familiar brief emptiness as Oak teleported from the land she tends to as a farmer to their mighty wooden home overlooking the mountain range.

Oh well, this day's not done yet.
