Under the Cherry-Blossom Tree (ノ▽〃)

Toaster-chan sighed softly, tugging at the collar of her uniform. Her mechanical heart was pounding, the sound of gears throbbing in her neko ears. She couldn't help but blush, her face heating up to a beyond safety-regulations red.

She sweat, but in a kawaii way. Her eyes wandered across the schoolyard nervously, travelling their way across student after student, boring normal haircut after boring normal haircut. 

Until they found him. Landing on that beautiful, single, sugoi tuft of hair, on those perfect heliotrope (idk what that means but google said it's a word for purple) spherical, crystalline orbs of eyes. 

She ducked away, hiding behind a conveniently placed body pillow. She blushed even harder, catching some grass nearby on fire with how intense her blushing was. 

She couldn't do this. She'd never be able to. 

She could leave. She could forget about all this, trap her feelings for even longer, like a slice of forgotten, burnt toast. 

But....

But she couldn't watch him pass her day by day. She couldn't simply stay silent when he flexed so sexily, when he yelled about protein powder in the middle of class, when his eyes faintly sparkled, it seemed, every time they talked. With the shine of crystallized protein, but still sparkled.  

"Watashi wa nani o subeki ka? Kare wa watashi o sukidesuka?" she cried, not caring that her tears drowned her circuits in actual water which could kill her. Thankfully they put out the bushfire though. 

She breathed heavily with indecision, toying with her kawaii plug tail.

"先輩、私は...." 

Suddenly, she saw him walk away in the corners of her huge eyes. She turned around, whipping the body pillow away. 

"いいえ...." she sobbed.

"Watashi wa sore o shinakereba naranai!" she yelled, setting off on her speedy legs.
