FAIR EVENT 2021

Petting Zoo: A fair isn’t complete without a petting zoo! Lots of baby animals have been brought in from far and wide for Reoseans and their companions to enjoy. Does your Reosean enjoy farm animals, or something more exotic? Perhaps they’d prefer to be anywhere else. Draw or write about your Reosean meeting one of the fair’s animals. Animals must be 75% showing to count!

Collaboration between : Zevanox  - xQueen0fHellx

Participating Reoseans :

Koma 13459 / Iniko 13582

Additional Vays :

Ember 013 [Starter]

-Vitalus/Fair-

Iniko figured that after the stress of some games, perhaps a bit of relaxation was due. Some food maybe, or just a chill spot to relax.

He brought the others over to grab some lemonade while they contemplated their next move. A sound caught his attention, and his ears flicked back to catch the direction, and he whipped his head around to follow it. It was the sound of chickens. Chickens? He slowly drifted away until he saw a small sign. Petting Zoo. of course.

He saw children and adults alike having fun with the little animals, and a goat braying nearby caused him to jump slightly, before he caught the attention of his companions. “Hey Ember, they have bunnies!” That got the little chaser’s paws running faster than anything else. He held the gate open for her and she dashed in to come see the animals. “After you, handsome.” He gestured with a paw and let Koma go ahead of him.

But Koma didn’t follow, in fact, he didn’t even immediately respond, for he was in a state of shock. With jaw dropped and eyes sparkling like he had seen the most precious thing in the world.

“A-animals?!” It’s like he lost all his composure and couldn’t help but wheeze out the words. He seemed to be even more excited than Ember for this one. When he noticed that Iniko was politely inviting him in, he coughed a little and smiled shyly back at him, trying to regain a bit of his dignity.

He took his first steps into the animal pen but stopped just as soon as he entered the gate. There went his dignity once more. Curious little baby goats surrounded him all at once and he was in awe. Sweet, blissful awe. Chicks were running around freely, bunnies hopping here and there. He couldn’t believe it and his jaw was dropped once more.

Ember had made a bee-line for the bunnies, she was already down on her belly with the bunnies snuggling up in her fur. She melted a little, nearly tearing up with joy.

Iniko about died when he saw Koma’s reaction to the animals. He started laughing and then cooing at him as the other male dashed in to see the animals. It was just so precious. Great idea indeed.

Nudging away the lamb that thought the open gate meant escape, the sandstone puller closed it behind him, feeling the shift of the land once more. It was back in a Vitalus like setting again, and crystal clusters grew in the pen, adding bits of light and sparkles onto the area. It was simply magical. Speaking of magic, he could feel the magic in the atmosphere. Vitalus was known for its magic, and it was thick in the air. It gave the fair an unearthly feeling.

Ember was cuddling with the bunnies, and they climbed all over her, causing her to laugh and sigh in contentment. She seemed so at home in her little pile of fluff. Koma though, he seemed overwhelmed. Animals were everywhere and it was like he didn’t know where to look. Iniko got distracted from him when a goat headbutted his leg, the tiny horns not making a dent on his muscled limbs. He nuzzled it, and pushed it gently in the direction of Koma. The runner seemed to be more fascinated with the critters than Iniko himself was. The puller was content to watch his new friends enjoy themselves.

“Iniiiiiko!” Ember yelled at him in a hushed attempt to not disturb the bunnies

“You have to come try this!”

By this point, Ember was practically drowning in the fluffy bunnies, they were all over and around her and she absolutely loved it.

“They’re so soft” she nuzzled into them, starting to feel so comfortable she could likely fall asleep.

Meanwhile, Koma was inching his way closer, the hoard of baby goats around him grew to have curious young wooly llamas too. He was trying to regroup with both Iniko and Ember but at this pace it would take some time, since for every step he made he had to carefully place down a paw to be sure he would not accidentally smoosh a chick or another young curious animal’s paws or hooves.

Though one could see the contentment and love he held for the animals on his delicate smile, ever so patient and considerate for each of them.

Then after a few more steps, Koma looked up to see the others. Ember was just about to take a nap with those bunnies, who were seemingly already asleep before her and as for Iniko, the ruby and snow runner noticed he was by himself, watching over the group.

Koma smiled kindly at him and tip-toed his way out of his mob of baby animals to finally slip next to the bulky snowflaked puller. Though it wasn’t long before the ravenous hoard of cute animals surrounded them both, inching them closer together.

“It’s a lot more fun together, don’t you think?” Koma smirked teasingly.

As Ember practically nodded off in the pile of bunnies, Iniko couldn’t hold back a chuckle. It really was adorable. Koma continued to be shocked still for a while longer, before finally moving closer, the animals circling them both. Iniko didn’t mind the animals.

They were cute and precious, but they were all so small. He was paranoid he might squash one if he got too close. Every step he made was with care, double checking where he was going to place his paw before setting it against the ground. The large puller was probably a bit big for this little exhibit, but he couldn’t not join his companions.

Koma’s teasing remake had him grinning slyly as he swung his head to face her.

“Oh no, whatever shall I do. Stuck with such radiant beauty such as yourself. My heart can’t take it.” His voice was full of sarcasm and humor as he put a paw over his chest, miming some pain with that grin.

“Aww come on, you two shouldn’t be cuter than me!” Ember’s voice pulled him back to reality and the puller let out a hearty chuckle. The small chaser had started to dislodge herself from the bunnies, but squealed and got distracted once more when she discovered one of the little ones was not a rabbit, but instead a baby jackalope.

“LOOK AT THE CUTE LITTLE HORNS!!!” “Well, it seems we found your two favorite spots at the fair. Too bad you couldn’t take them home with you.”

END.
