Tyle takes Neko across the rooftops of the floating city of Skaia. They like to hang out up here, watching the people down below while they remain hidden. Neko can't help but think of how they first met, when she taught him to climb and they scrambled around the high places of Twilight Town. It's a pleasant memory.

“This is amazing, Neko!” Tyle exclaims, excitement coloring his voice as the two venture through Skaia on higher ground. “This place is so cool!”

Neko smiles at her boyfriend. She loves this man more than anything in the worlds. It’s hard to believe they encountered one another when Neko attempted to pickpocket him, viewing Tyle as an easy target. Now? She wouldn’t trade him or the time they had together for anything.

When they first became friends - a few months before starting to date - Neko remembers showing Tyle Twilight Town through jumping across rooftops. Tyle laughed and laughed, enjoying himself more than even Neko was, and a bright smile lit her face at Tyle’s laughter.

The pair tend to stay on rooftops or high ground when they visit new worlds, not wanting to be caught or seen. It’s an extra layer of adrenaline. Neko thrives off it. She knows Tyle finds it fun more than anything, but deep down she also knows he does it because he knows Neko loves the thrill.

Deciding to sit for a few moments, Neko plants herself on the edge of a cliff, Tyle sitting next to her. She rests her head against his shoulder, a soft smile painting its way on her face as a sigh floats off her lips.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” Tyle whispers. Neko looks up underneath her lashes, nodding at her love. “The scenery, the stars… but also you.”

Neko blushes, worrying the skin of her lips. “Tyle…”

“I wouldn’t give up this moment for anything. I wouldn’t trade the time I have with you for nothing,” Tyle murmurs, wrapping an arm around Neko’s shoulders. “Every day I can spend by your side is a blessing to me.”

“Same for me, Tyle. I would tear down the worlds if it meant you would be safe.”

Tyle chuckles, placing a kiss against Neko’s soft brown strands. “I don’t want you to make an enemy of the worlds, y’know. It’s already bad enough we have to fight heartless and whatever else on a regular basis.”

“I would make an enemy of anyone if they threatened to harm you,” Neko says seriously, nuzzling her cheek against the soft skin between Tyle’s neck and shoulder. “Even if I knew I’d lose.”

“I wouldn’t want you to die because of me,” Tyle says in an equally serious tone. “Whatever threats come our way, we face together. I won’t have you get hurt for anything.”

Neko gives a soft puff of laughter, a gentle smile on her countenance. She wraps her arms around Tyle, holding on like he’s her last source of oxygen.

“Want to stay here for a while?” Neko asks, content.

“Of course, my beloved. As long as you want.”

An affectionate, happy sigh leaves Neko as she curls up on Tyle’s lap, tucking her head under his chin and keeping her arms securely fastened around his form.

At this moment in time, when the world consists of just them, Neko wishes she could freeze time and have them stay this way for an eternity. But until then, she’s happy just being with the man she loves.

She knows Tyle feels the same.
