Till Death Do I Swear

Type: Lore

TW: Death, Execution, Abandonment

Notes: This basically explains how Alphie got to where he is now and how exactly his d/ath came to be. This also explains his connection with Lady Safia

A bright glaring light shines into a white haired boy’s eyes, he squints and goes to cover his eyes, but the restraints clink as the metal knocks into each other. That’s right, he’s in a cell.

The king had enough with him talking with Lady Safia, despite it being his duty as a guard. King Ramius declared him guilty of treason and failure to execute his duty to guard the kingdom. And so he was sent to be executed at dawn.

Alphinaud wasn’t shocked or in dismay, he knew it was a matter of time. Ramius had him in his sights for over a quarter, Alph was just waiting for the king to finally blow his top.

He hadn’t expected to be executed, the worst he assumed was prison for eternity or be placed in solitary. But the king was a man of unknown ideologies.

Now, Alphinaud sits on the ground, waiting as time slowly makes it’s countdown to his untimely end.

His heart hurts to have to leave Lady Safia behind. She was his only real companion in his line of work. She always was quick witted and 5 steps ahead of his own thinking, he knew his death will have a toll on her. He just hopes she won’t forget about him.

Keys clack against the cell door,

“Time’s up, anything you say now can be put in your will.” The guard called.

Alphinaud thinks as the guard removes one chain from the cell bar and finally,

“Put in my will, that I wish for Lady Sofia to be in good health and to never forget after I pass.” He replies grimly.

The cell door is opened and the boy is taken out to the execution grounds.

The last sounds heard, is the guillotine and a frantic screaming cry.

Citizens turn away in respects, as it’s what they at least can do for Alphinaud, a brave soul who fought for them all.

Author's Notes

I had made this when my brain was really constricted of how to go about writing his lore, but maybe I'll go back soon and fix it up?
