Koura & Rymis

"DUDE this is liiiiiit!!", Rymis cried. "Come 'n' look, Koura!"

It was obvious that the winged canine was watching some sort of YouTube video, most likely about the "top ten most mindblowing inventions that will leave you stunned". Koura, of course, was never as baffled as Rymis, but she always watched the video with her friend anyways. 

"Rymis, you do understand that I cannot comprehend any of that silly talk, I hope! Is that what one must do to be 'hip'?, Koura questioned, emphasizing the last word as she sat down beside Rymis, snuggling right up to her and peering at the screen of the tablet.

"It's not called 'hip', you boomer.", the grey goddess replied affectionately. "Now shhhh, isn't that so cool? It's an ice tray that turns boring old ice cubes into the shape of a pineapple! Yo, where do you think I can buy one?"

The question was left unanswered as the two girls stared at how wonderfully colourful this tray was, Rymis in particular loved how the palette seemed to display a fun, summery vibe. Koura figured that it wouldn't hurt to simply enjoy the free content, yet it seemed that none of these inventions were as flabbergasting as the title of the video claimed. The goddess had seen this trend quite frequently, yet she didn't know quite what to call it - it wasn't lying, but it was bending the truth about the content of the videos. "Rymis, do you suppose that we should switch the video to something more... worth our time? Perhaps something relating to astrology!", she said, hoping that the screen-addicted Rymis would agree.

"Hmm. Yeah, sure, girl!", the grey/white canine replied, searching for "zodiac tik tok compilations". A ton of stuff popped up, and she chose the first one. "This should be far better! Celestial themes and astrology are right up our alley, after all: we are celestial beings!", Koura chimed excitedly, subconsciously snuggling closer to her boredom buddy.

The first Tik Tok video was of a ceiling that was lit up by purple LED lights with the text "✨ ppl with these signs are baddies 👀✨". Okay, this was not going to be interesting, but the next would probably be better. More accurate, too. After the stereotypically aggressive zodiacs had been listed, the next Tik Tok began. 

"zodiacs that are stupid sweethearts🥺💖". Nevermind, these were stereotypes and Koura thought they were pretty mean to random internet users who had the misfortune to stumble across them. 30 more seconds down the drain.

"💔ugliest signs💔" was the the next video. So much for "third time's the charm", Koura grumbled inwardly. This was not the wholesome, enjoyable content that she was expecting, and it annoyed her. Rymis, on the other hand, was nearing tears by this point. "Kouraaaaa, what's my sign?? Am I stupi-stupid?", she whined, pushing her face into Koura's shoulder and wiping off her tears on the silky hair of her best friend. 

The goddess of destruction was surprised. Really, really surprised. "Oh, no, no, no! Of course you aren't, dear. These are just oddball teenagers who care not for their viewers, but for clout. Please do not cry, it makes me sad as well! Aw, Rymis... they are being foolish.", Koura tried to comfort the sad fluff, failing. The sobbing continued. 

"Alrighty... hmm, um, Rymis, I'm just going to switch the video."

Koura began hunting through the recommended page and looking for something decent to watch, and finally found a nice channel that was based on positivity and had a generally colourful aesthetic, something she knew that Rymis would like. "Here, look at this... this cute polar bear.", the goddess offered, pointing the screen towards the tear-stained eyes of Rymis. Within seconds, the negativity that the canine felt was gone and she was absolutely transfixed on the video, studying the beautiful editing and relaxing soundtrack.
