Moonshine and Summer were already off to a bad start. Summer was struggling to get Moon to learn a spell, and it was all Summer's fault. Summer is usually not very patient but holds herself back and tries to be understanding. However, Moon has noticed that with her and the other younger dragon pony students Summer is very impatient and judgmental. Summer is basically racist and Moon knew this. Moon's been a little snoopy admittedly, but she found notes of Summer's stating that she thinks dragon ponies are dangerous accidents waiting to happen. Moon also read in her diary that the only reason why she is still teaching Moon is because she basically needs someone to throw her duties onto.

Moonshine: "I'm sick of you telling my magic skill isn't good enough!"

Summer: "It's the truth! I'm just being honest because I want to see you improve."

Moonshine: "Dragonbeard has told me otherwise. He thinks I'm amazing. I think you're secretly trying to hold me back from ruling with you because you don't like dragon ponies!"

Summer: "Why I never!" Summer lifted her hoof in surprise.

Moonshine: Pointed and cried out "You just want to be a lazy bum and give me half of your duties!"

Summer: "I..."

Moon: "Don't even deny it, I have written proof." She starts to walk out of the castle, "oh and I'm taking all of the dragon ponies with me to rebel in a new kingdom. Have fun finding a replacement."

Afterword Summer sat for hours in her room crying and refused to come out. Surprisingly she was not denying how wrong she was, but instead felt terrible for her mistakes. What she did will stay with her for years as she fights with the dragon ponies for peace. But most of all, without Dragonbeard she could not come up with spells to defend herself against a huge safety threat...
