The day had been rather quiet for Kirv, with Pida being out on a job throughout the day, though he wasn't complaining about the opportunity to relax a little. It had been a lovely day, with the sun shining brightly through the clouds, and birds chirping in the large oak trees. Spending most of the day talking to Bellista, even though Bellista told him a few times that she had work to get done. When the afternoon rolled around Kirv decided it was a good opportunity to practice some of his songs; Bellista being asked to listen as an audience, and give input with a couple new songs he was trying to fine tune. As the small concert came to an end Bellista went to start on dinner, knowing that Pida would most likely be wanting to eat as soon as he returned from his work.

Though Kirv was able to distract himself with his music while he waited, he was getting rather hungry by the time dinner was ready; Though he was trying his best to mask the rumbles that his stomach was making. Bellista had been making a delicious beef roast, with potatoes and fresh baked bread, as well as having pulled out a lovely bottle of red wine; All the while Kirv could smell the tantalizing aroma of the meal they would be eating soon. Sitting patiently at the dinner table, waiting for Pida to return from his latest job, it didn't take long for Kirv to realize that he was running later than expected. Just as the thought occurred to him though there was a knock at the door.

"Please excuse me." Bellista said, walking out of the dining room and to answer the front door. As she opened the door she let out a gasp, as Pida collapsed into the doorway of his home. "Kirv! KIRV!" She screamed out, trying to get him to come straight away.

Getting up quickly from the table, Kirv rushes to the door. "What is it? What's wrong? It's not robbers is it?" He asked as he approached, slightly concerned at her urgency. His face quickly turned from partial worry to complete concern though, as he noticed Pida laying on the ground.

"Pida! What happened?!" he let out in a panic, rushing over and getting down on his knees to get a better look.

"Hey..." Pida replied, wincing a bit as he tried to sit up to seem like he was okay.

"Don't push yourself... Oh my god how did this happen?" Kirv's voice having a saddened tone to it, as he started to notice all the wounds and blood on Pida.

"It's noth-nnng." His word only barely finished with his grimaced groan.

Seeing Kirv's eyes start to tear up Bellista knew she had to take charge of the grim situation. "Kirv, help me carry him to the sofa, and I can go get Tarcius while you keep him awake."

Wanting to help as much as he could, he nodded "R-right." He replied, the two of them carefully lifting Pida up, their arms under his to help him move. They walked him over to the lush sofa in the sitting room, Pida let out stifled groans as they went, a small blood trail following him.

"I'll be back in a moment." Bellista said as she rushed out of the room to find Tarcius. Once she was gone Kirv knelt down on the floor, beside the sofa, taking Pida's hand in his own.

"I'm alright." Pida said with a pained wink. He was usually stubborn, but this time the hard-headed attitude just made Kirv worry even more.

"You better be..." Replied Kirv, as his eyes welled up with tears. "I don't want to lose you."

"You'll have to try harder than this." He chuckled, groaning from the pain as he did.

With a quivering lip Kirv started to hum a song, a lovely melody that almost had a romantic tone to it, all the while holding Pida's hand tight. A couple small teardrops rolled down Kirv's cheeks as he leaned in closer to his ear, gently resting his forehead against Pida's. Pida slowly started to relax as the song went on, not even realizing why it was so calming to him.

"That's beautiful." Pida said softly, as he listened to the lovely tune, letting out a small sigh.

"Shhh~" Let out Kirv, giving a quick sniffle before continuing the song. Without Pida even realizing, the wounds on him slowly stopped bleeding.

Healing magic was truly amazing, and something that Kirv had never really delved into before. In all honesty, Kirv himself hadn't even been fully aware that he had started to heal Pida. The song he was humming, and had been working on earlier that day, had been meant as a sign of affection towards Kirv; It turned out that he made a song of protection for his loved ones, so even just humming it had been able to start the healing process.

Not knowing that any of that had happened, he stopped singing. "You're the most important person in my life... and you always will be... I want you to know that..." Kissing Pida on the forehead as a couple more tears rolled down his face.

With the bit of strength he had earned back from Kirv's beautiful song, he leaned up and pulled him into a loving kiss. Giving Kirv a warm smile as he then relaxed against the sofa once more.

Blushing through his tears, Kirv looked into Pida's eyes, a small sniffle as he just watched him for a moment.

As they gazed into each other's eyes Bellista returned, with Tarcius. The elderly man walked at a slower pace due to his age, but still walked with purpose in his step. Carrying a bag of medicinal herbs, magical potions, and bandages, making sure to have all possible aspects covered.

"How is he doing?" Tarcius asked, worry noticeable in his tone. Bellista walking behind him as they approach the sofa.

"He's doing a bit better, I think..." Kirv replied, standing up to move out of their way so they can do a proper check on Pida.

Tarcius began looking at Pida's wounds, trying to see the extent of the damage, a bit of surprise on his face as he noticed that the wounds weren't as bad as Bellista had been saying.

"They were much worse," Bellista said, noticing the wounds as well, "much worse..." Her tone filled with confusion.

"Did you do something Kirv?" Tarcius asked with curiosity, pulling out some ointments and a bottle of liquid from his bag.

"I... don't think so... I just sang him a song." His face turned red again as he mentioned it.

"That must have been one powerful song. I believe you healed him a bit, at least enough to stop the bleeding, by singing him that song." A warm smile on his face as he put the ointment on what was left of the wounds, wrapped them up, and made Pida take a sip of the liquid.

A very disgusted noise escaped Pida's lips after he drank the liquid. "That is disgusting." He said in a point of fact tone.

"Then you shouldn't scare us by getting hurt." Bellista retorted.

"You'll be good as new by morning, thanks to Kirv." Tarcius smiled, looking between the two. "We will leave you two to be alone now. Let me know if you need anything" He said as he stood up and began to walk away, shooing Bellista out of the room as well.

"You're lucky you're going to be okay..." Kirv said with a slightly saddened tone, once they left.

"Nah~" Replied Pida "Though I am lucky that I have you."

Kirv was still blushing, as he sat down beside the sofa again. "I'm lucky to have you too" He smiled, some tears of happiness in his eyes.

As to be expected after such an ordeal, the two quickly fell asleep. Kirv laid on the floor next to the sofa, using a cushion from a chair, as Pida stayed on the sofa. The two holding hands in their sleep, dreaming about one another through the night.
