While Cody was walking about in the forest, just exploring a path he hadn't taken before, he heard a very strange sound. Now, anyone else would go the other way and never even think to look back, but Cody had always been an overly curious person, although it often put him in danger. He decided that he would investigate, and ended up coming across a pair of odd looking creatures that seemed to have no proper heads! They both were distinctly cat-like in shape, but one had large wings sprouting from their back like that of a raven. The cat with wings was fairly large, and had green goop with swirls of gold sprouting from their neck, while the smaller one, which was yellow with pink wing shaped markings on its sides, had light pink and yellow goo from their neck and replacing their tail! Cody wondered what they were. What kind of creature looked like this? The winged one seemed a lot more serious than the yellow and pink one, seeming to have to call the other back when they got to rambunctious. "Do you two need help?" Cody asked gently. Both creatures froze, seeming to not have noticed him before. The larger turned, tilting its 'head'. Cody repeated his question. The winged creature turned away and tugged something out from the dirt. It turned around, showing the glittering item to the human."These are what you guys are looking for?" He asked, investigating the shiny object. It looked almost like a small piece of a star. He decided to call it a 'Star Shard' until he found out what they were actually called. The brightly coloured creature appeared to nod excitedly, before turning around and dashing off. The dark one made a noise that sounded odd, kind of like the little chirping sound his cat makes when she sees a bug, and the other came running back. Cody looked around, trying to see if there were any more nearby he could reach. A glitter caught his eye, and he looked at it properly. Another one of the Star Shards was caught on a branch above him. Cody couldn't reach it, but maybe one of the others could get it. He turned around and called over the winged creature, pointing to the shard above the two of them. In one large leap it jumped up and snagged the shard in it's goo, before landing gently back on the grass once more. Cody looked around again, seeing something glitter from under a log. He walked over and tried to push the log out of the way, but the log wouldn't budge. "Can you two help me with this?" Cody asked. The creatures came over and helped shove the log, and they managed shove the log out of the way. Immediately the two creatures began digging. They dug and they dug and they dug some more. After a bit Cody joined them, digging with his hands. it took almost half an hour, but they unearthed a giant hollow space lined with stone and roots, that was filled to the brim with the Star Shards! There must be hundreds here! Cody started scooping them out and giving them to the creatures. After a while he climbed into the hole and started lifting them out. after a long while, when the hole was finally completely empty he climbed out. the two creatures were holding as many as they could in their goo. The bigger held one out to Cody. "Oh, is that for me?" He asked. It nodded. "Well, thank you very much." He said.
