'Even as a Hero, there’s always a motivator, a theme, something you want to make known or change about this world, what is it?'

It was a peculiar request from the staff, but Hui Jian wasn’t averse to answering a question or two in an impromptu interview. She entered the room and hopped into the chair that was offered to her, curling up comfortably like how she usually would, and faced the interviewer. When questioned about what her plans were upon going pro, she quickly found her answer. Hui Jian was a girl with her mind already made up. In fact, she had made her decision well before enrolling in Shiketsu, and conditioned herself into following it closely for it meant the benefit of the people she loved and missed. She hummed as she formulated the beginning of her answer, before raising her hands to sign.

“I want to become a hero to help my family and friends back home.” Hui Jian signed briefly in response. She clasped her hands together momentarily, chirping idly as she gathered her thoughts.

“I grew up in a disadvantaged area in Western China. I didn’t really know the luxuries other kids my age in different parts of the country had. All I had back then was family and friends. Even still, my parents still gave me a good education, and worked hard so I could learn and succeed. They worked even harder when I made the decision to come to Shiketsu Academy.” the ape explained, scratching at the golden fur on her arm.

“I think what motivates me as a hero are those who allowed me to come here. I’m indebted to my parents, and I can’t thank my friends back home enough for the encouragement. So when I go professional, I want to go back and protect my home. I also want to build it up, and make the overall lifestyle easier for them. I think that’s the least I could do for them.”

She let her hands rest after her elaboration, and she sat idle across from the questioner. Hui Jian’s black eyes spoke of a solemn, steadfast conviction. In her own mind, she never really thought of what material or financial gain she could receive out of her status, but instead looked forward to using her skills and prestige to assist those around her.
