Raging sea storming skies

Of course I’ve heard various legends about the phoenix, but I never believed them to be anything more than myth.
But here he stands, it’s plain as day that he does not look like before, and the word on the box…
If there’s a scientific explanation behind it I’m not against believing it to be the truth, such a fascinating truth.
All legends come from somewhere, in my time studying I’ve learned that for sure. But I don’t understand it, I never really paid it much attention. This is Edgar though, the same shifty little cat as before.
And it explains everything, I knew he was lying, hiding something, I knew not to trust him. But looking at it now, his secret is so much more harmless than I had anticipated, I wonder how many phoenixes there are, is he the only one?
He might actually be just as innocent as he acted, maybe he hadn’t meant to set the tent on fire, accidents happen.
It makes perfect sense, everything makes so much sense. He is a liar just as I said he was, but all the horrible things I said and thought about him, was that just paranoia?
I was so sure he’d never convince me he wasn’t a criminal, but maybe he’s just done it… I’m eager to see what he has to say.
