Bing sighed deeply, trying to hide his shaky voice as he packed up his supplies. He slid the blue, latex gloves off his fingers, lazily dropping it onto the cart he was holding. He folded his arms, staring at the tools before him, metal needles, rubbing alcohol, and everything else you’d ever need to perform surgery on a human, or any other species for that matter. Even golden needles and tools were tucked under a cloth on his cart, for those special cases when a suspiciously furry human enters the vicinity of the hospital. Bing hummed a tune softly to himself, reaching his hand out instinctively to flick the light switch off, in fact, the last light switch that was on in the whole hospital. As Bing’s finger lightly grazed the plastic switch, he inhaled sharply. A ghostly white figure stepped into the light. Bing rubbed his eyes as they grew teary, remembering his mentor. “Edmund?” Bing stepped forward, only seeing a glimmer of sickly grey skin and shaggy, but gelled black hair, as Edmund’s tall figure seemed to be whisked away. Bing slid a flashlight out of his pocket, walking through the dark corridors of the hospital, until he reached the automatic doors. The doors opened for him graciously, as Bing tugged his doctor’s coat off his back, and hanging it over his left shoulder. Bing flung open his car door, gripping the steering wheel so hard his knuckles turned white. As the engine whirred to life, and he turned out of the parking lot, Bing grew more tired than ever before. Bing’s eyelids threatened to slip closed, but he still kept them wide open, focusing on the damp rain streaked road. Yet, Bing didn’t seem to realize that he had instinctively gone the route of the Church Mausoleum, in which Edmund had been the buried. Bing’s legs shook as his car halted with a shriek in front of the large stone building. He entered through the large doorway, glancing at everything, pain in his eyes. He started breathing faster, and faster, as he neared the tomb of Edmund. His heart seemed to stop as he saw a crack, trailing across the surface of the stone sarcophagus. And as a shriek started to escape his lips, he saw the glinting sickly face of Edmund, rising from the darkness. Bing stepped backward hesitantly, trembling with fright, but also relief. Edmund was back.
